    What happened to good old fashioned stabilisers

    They suck for learning to ride.

    They teach kids to ride a 4 wheeled vehicle which turns completely differently to a two wheeled vehicle. Google "counter steering bicycle" if you are interested.

    Balance bikes teach kids to ride a 2 wheeler then you add on the pedaling when they are older and can already do the hard part.

    My nephew has autism and a balance bike was fantastic for him. I also bought my daughter one and by the age of 4 she was riding a bike all by herself. Can't recommend them enough

    Now we are talking about a normal price for a balance bike, I had a debate with people who were saying that £130 for a balance bike Isla is a very good deal

    £130 seems incredibly expensive as surely a child won't get long out of it. I guess if your planning to pass through a number of siblings but I still think it's hard to see the benefits of spending so much.

    I picked one up from Amazon.de for €24 and my nephew loves it, and uses it all the time.
