Both good deals - personally I would go for the dome cameras though on the other deal. I have a kit with 2x dome and 2x bullet so i've tried both and In my experience they are easier to fit as you screw the bracket to the wall/soffit/wherever and then twist the camera on. For the bullet cams you have to hold them and install the screws. Then to adjust you have to unscrew a thread on the bracket to loosen and tighten them for adjustment. For the dome cam I also found them easier to aim (you can just move them freely with your hand) and they protrude from the wall less so look a little neater. Mostly just my opinion though!

I understand attempting this kind of project yourself isn't for everyone, but if you are comfortable using a drill and screwdriver up a ladder you can install this. Personally I ran the cables into the loft then mounted the cams to UPVC soffits which gives a very neat install with no cables running on outside walls (which are also prone to tampering). (edited)

I've often seen people mention that they have installed dome cameras on their soffits and although I'm sure it looks neat and unobtrusive, how much do you actually see which is useful?

I'd imagine it would be the tops of cars and peoples heads. I've installed mine just above ground floor window height, and I can see faces and car number plates which I guess would be more useful.

Not knocking it but I'm genuinely curious.
