If you’ve got a good (close to the door) Wi-Fi this works great. I love mine

I want to get one, how close roughly would you say? Just in case I make the wrong decision.

Debating which Ring to buy. Are these really THAT much better than the Ring 2? I'd appreciate your views.

Based on YouTube reviews I’ve watched I’m going for the Ring Pro 2 Hardwired… over the Ring 4

    Replying to

Second hand, but I have a friend who has the Eufy dual camera doorbell and is quite happy with it, though the more I look into each doorbell on the market the less I think there is a perfect option

Have this bundle and it’s great. Picked up a spare battery for around £16 (often on offer) and change it maybe once every 5-6 weeks. Takes literally 1min to switch over. Super easy and no drama of wires etc. running through walls.

Grey piece of kit. (Especially if you’re already in the Ring eco system).

Just use the free membership and then cancel after you have received as you get the free trial…however I love Prime and think you may find it useful to keep as saves you money in the long run.
Other option is to ask someone you know to add you to their account as a family member.

Ring changed something in January and my 2 x genuine batteries went from lasting months to a week. Ring have loads of reports and just tell you temperature affects battery charge storage, however even in 25degree heat it lasts a week max.

On top of that they want to increase the annual Ring Protect plan to £35, up £10, with the reasoning you can store videos for 180 days (who really needs that?), download more than 10 videos at a time (never download one so I don't need 10) and you can get 10% discount in the Ring store (More than 10% cheaper everywhere else anyway). I've cancelled altogether and am looking for an alternative that can connect to my selfhhosted system.

Support is community driven too, it isn't a simple process. They did swap me out when my first one had an issue, I also got a free upgrade from a 2 to a 3, but it was a confused mess. I'd consider your options unless you really need the Ring ecosystem. (edited)

Anything on eufy dual door bell ?

I bought eufy recently, didn't really like it. The no fee is nice but the setup, app and the lack of zone detection was annoying.

    Gone back to ring
