Remember ring are a subscription service. You fit it, use it for 1 month, then have to pay yearly subscription after

You have to take the unit off the wall/mount to plug this in to charge, it’s a pain in the bum. Spend a bit more and get one with a removable battery throat you can swap out.

Yeah but if it's anything like mine, I have to do it once every 10-12 weeks and charge it for about 5 hours which I normally do on a Sunday afternoon. Takes two mins to take it off the wall and put it back on again.

Is there any way to install this without drilling holes?

Well you could put the mounting plate on the wall with the relevant glue or heavy duty double sided waterproof sticky pads but it would never be as secure as drilling the 4 holes into the wall.

Ring is trash and I'll never touch their overpriced doorbells or subscription again! Constant lagging and connection interrupted issues even with strong WiFi. Missed notifications. False pings setting it off constantly. Batteries don't last long even with their recommended settings. I had the Ring 2 then upgraded to Ring 4 and got fed up in the end. Overrated doorbells. YouTube the Reolink doorbell.

Overpriced? Some of their models were as little as £35. And for £50, they had offers with an Echo Show included. No missed notification ls here, neither false notification. The battery on mine needs charging once at every 3 months, I've got the peephole model. I agree with the lagging. But you get the same with Reolink. I've got Reolink cameras and they experience lagging too. And I prefer automatic notifications on my Echo Show, which you can't get with Reolink. (edited)

I hope Reolink will make a battery-operated one soon.

Why? It's no needed as they run on POE or supply a plug which is wired to the doorbell 24/7. Ring is trash and I'll never touch their overpriced doorbells or subscription again! Constant lagging and connection interruption issues even with strong WiFi. Overrated doorbells.

Bought this and Amazon echo show in December for this same price.

Not really a good deal as I bought this same version and the Echo Show in December for the exact price.
I use the Echo Show as the chime. (edited)
