The way things are going with my Fire Stick I think I'll buy this next

Try connecting it directly to a main adaptor rather than TV USB as that caused my device to randomly restart or not work at all. Power might be too low or inconsistent.

What's better and easier to use between this and the Fire stick please? The person won't be using any Amazon features.

These get way too hot and end up turning themselves off due to self protection. I had to open mine up and apply a ram heatsink to the main chip. It went from 105c to 90c. I would avoid.

Haven't used mine since I got a new TV a few months ago but before that it was fine. I did put an inline micro usb switch on the supplied power supply to turn it off when not in use (overnight) as although it supposedly turns itself off there was still power going through it as the hdmi splitter I had was always illuminated.
