No longer in stock since yesterday but other ebay sellers offering similar refurbished phones. Big fan of this phone so if buying the fold 4 used any advice on a good phone insurance company or shall I add to my home insurance annual renewal?

What kind of cover do you need ? - if you want cover in case it gets stolen, then it shouldn’t cost much. But if you want cover for accidents like cracked screen, lost it, etc - then it will probably cost quite a bit more. If you travel abroad then you need to think about that too.
Check your home insurance for what is covered/excluded & go from there.
Cheap insurance will probably exclude accidental damage/loss & certain high value items - especially high risk items
If you need to claim because it’s stolen/missing - then you’ll likely need a police report (or at least a police incident ref no.)
Plus of course there’ll be an excess & probably a max amount paid out per item.
In my experience (& I’m an old dude) insurance for personal belongings is rarely worth it, so I’ve leant to be careful !
imho there are only really a few types of insurance worth paying for - Life, car/vehicle, building & contents, & travel insurance - and I usually go for the cheapest & the only extra I ever pay for is protected no claims on my car.

I had one of these for a while, and it's easily the best Samsung I've used to date.
If they could shave some weight and bulk off whilst slightly widening the cover screen, it'd be a winner for me.

I agree with this, if the phone was 20% less in height/length it wouldn't bother me. The dexterity you have being able to use both hands with the tablet sized screen and the querty keyboard is incredible, I can't type on this as fast as using a keyboard but I'm not far off.

Thinner and a longer battery would be nice additions and a smaller S pen that clicks into the device too and imo it would be near perfection for a mobile/tablet/computer replacement device (edited)

Heat added this is a good price for this phone. Have to say I ordered and got it next day wasnt too happy with DPD as they left it on my doorstep behind my food waste bin. Other than that this is a fantastic phone. I had the S22 Ultra which I am selling on an keeping this I wanted to try a fold to see what the hype was about I am glad I did. I am also selling my 10 inch table I used for reading its also no longer needed. Brill find.

Would you mind posting how long it takes to charge from 15% to 100% and what wattage charger your using.

I have a Z3 and it's replaced the lot for me, computer, tablet and phone and as a consequence I generated more money from selling the 3 items on Gumtree than it cost to buy the Z3

I've been torn about upgrading from the Z3 to Z4, I get about 6 hours battery out of the Z3 which isn't really enough when I'm using it all day every day. I'm just getting such mixed reviews about how much extra battery time the Z4 is providing... Some people are saying 50% more, some say no more than 10% to 15% more

All I can see is that they say "If you cannot get in touch with the manufacturer or you've purchased a refurbished product, please contact our aftercare sales team via the eBay messaging service."

Will switch to one of these full time when they can sort out the crease, like the form factor of the z fold 3 when i used it very innovative but couldn't get used to the crease, cutting edge device

When there is a stronger screen I would switch. With my work, I'd most likely break the phone. =/

As someone who had the Fold3 and got the Fold4, what do you feel are the biggest differences? It seems very incremental to me, I know the cameras are a little better but the ones on the 3 weren't bad. Wish they had SD slots and headphone jacks, seems like such a no-brainer on a media consumption device like this...

Does anyone have any solution. For some weird reason on my fold 4 I got from laptops direct the YouTube sub comments do not show intermittently. So I returned it and got a fold 4 from Samsung directly and it still does it. Does anyone have any solutions. I cleared memory/cache of YouTube. Uninstalled and installed app. Update app and fold. Factory reset. The only thing I have not done is create/ sign in with another Gmail

Try a different YouTube client perhaps? I use YouTube Vanced anyway and not had this issue with it on this device.

I fully agree. I don't pay that much on insurance anyway, but I was thinking of insurance for damage to the phone, especially the folded screen is still new technology, that Samsung may not cover. I never paid for insurance on my phones for past 20 years, and I still have a note 8 for 5 yrs in excellent condition but need an upgrade. I did some research and there were 3 options: 1. Add to home insurance ~£50 to annual premium, 2, Use third party that accept insurance on new/used phones e.g. So-SURE insurance ~£13 monthly. 3. Do nothing and be careful. So far leaning towards option 1, but thanks for the advise.

Received this last week, first time fold owner with a few queries,

Sticking, popping sort of noise when unfolding - is this normal?

Phone did not come in original box, did anyone else receive the original box?

    Thanks

My Fold 2 just makes a very soft swish sound when unfolding, which I assume is the internal brushes working in the mechanism. I would be worried at any loud noises coming from the hinge. Double check does it actually unfold completely flat, i.e. 180 degrees. The front and back panels should meet and completely obscure the hinge when fully unfolded, if not it may be a sign of early hinge issues and I'd return it. Many fold users have issues over time with the device only unfolding to 179 degrees or less, doesn't really affect the functionality but on a just purchased device I wouldn't live with it as it could be an early sign of things getting worse.
