I bought it. Lost the receipt. Air fryer never worked. Asda won't take it back or help me to get a receipt even when I showed bank statement

You should go back in and ask to speak to a manager and quote them what it says on their own website r.e. returns without a receipt, which is:

"Faulty or misdescribed items can be returned within 1 year from the day of purchase with the original receipt or proof of purchase"

    Proof of purchase is either:

    - Valid till receipt detailing the item, transaction, cost and day of purchase

    OR

    - Bank, building society or credit card statement (printed paper version)

The terms and conditions are clearly shown on their website here:

    asda-stores.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail_grow/a_id/2372/~/exchanges-and-refunds-terms

Don't let them fob you off, stand by your rights and don't be afraid to kick up a fuss if necessary.

    Power to the people! (edited)

I bought this one when it was on sale previously. I only wanted a small air fryer, because my oven is reasonably new and I don’t wish to replace its use. What I wanted was a way to cook a small amount of oven food without heating an entire oven. So my main uses (for which this is perfect) are jacket potatoes, breaded chicken strips / chunks, toasties, hash browns, potato wedges. I’m still glad I got this air fryer and am still figuring out other things to try. I did buy a pack of two washable liners from Home Bargains for about 80p. I don’t use them for everything, mainly for the chicken strips. There are often air fryer recipe e-books for free or 99p if you want other ideas.

Great fryer - great price. My first fryer was a cheap one which was rubbish. Put me off air fryers but then got given one of these as a gift. I thought - what do I want another useless kitchen tool for but this was so much better. Sold the rubbish one on Ebay telling buyers I'm selling it because it was rubbish thinking I might get someone to take it for 99p - I ended up getting more than I bought it for new!!! It shows - honesty pays.

Good, £5 cheaper than the last time it was on offer

OP - It's Scoville not Scobie (edited)

ok so getting annoyed with this. Ordered one and it got cancelled after 1 week due to "no stock" then ordered another to be told the same. Went to Asda and they have at least 4/5 of them on the shelf marked as £59 - was told thats the price.

Maybe worth checking again instore at nearest big Asda, just saw this offer yesterday at mine, there was a big pile of them, stacked on a pallet as you get in from the main entrance. Came here to check the reviews.

We bought this fryer on their Christmas promotion, for 2 people, absolutely a perfect size

Great! We have another one but instead of upgrading to a 2 drawer thought I'd just get this one to go alongside

Honestly I find it a bit small.. it works brilliantly but just always seems marginally too small for what I want to cook. But quality wise, it’s superb. (edited)

Thanks! I've bought it as a 2nd fryer to go alongside my 5.5 litre so should be fine

Like previous posts, I bought this on a previous offer. I wanted to try an air fryer without laying out too much. This is brilliant, I use it nearly every day. Great for roasting a chicken to heating croissants. Well worth £35. If it goes out of stock, don't worry, Asda website updates regularly, so keep checking back.

I got one from asda, nice price, but it is only good for 1-2 ppl, not a family because you can only use one layer. if you stack the food, it is just become soggy and uncooked.
air fryer is really a small oven. not sure why it is called air and fryer.
remember to clean the inside of the top, this is where is it tricky than normal oven as you have to take care cleaning it, as it is tight area, and have electrical. if you do not clean the inside ie the top, where the heater is and top sides, you going to have like the new york food van style, where all the food from previous cook, drips down to your present food being cooked
but i got another one for £10 more from costco £46 and is 6.7L . forget the L size, look at the base area, that is your cooking area, not the volume. (edited)

I ordered one for click and collect, didn't arrive on the day chosen so I've now reordered for delivery as there isn't an asda where I live. Hopefully it arrives as there were none on the shelf.

Loads of them in pallets and the shelves at my local asda, they still refuse to budge. Asda really don't care about customer service anymore. (edited)
