Not an amazing price. And I've had my mother in law's one of these apart. It's made of surprisingly poor quality components and hard to repair. Performs well if you make sure everything is not blocked or full. But so does every other cheap cyclonic vac.

A refurbished highish pet spec Hoover can be had on ebay for say £80 or less. And will outperform and most probably outlast these shark things.

i went from this to a dyson and back to one of these. sharks are way better i think. I have had no problems with my shark corded.

I bought the Shark [NV602UK] Corded Upright Vacuum, Lift-Away Anti Allergen, Bagless which was on HUKD a couple of months ago for £110 from the Ebay Shark shop.
With the NV602 model you have to press a button to go from carpets to hard floors (with the NZ801 you don't).
Also the NV602 has one motorised brush on the main head (the NZ801 has two).
They both have the same 750W power.
But different weight and capacity, this one has
    Product Weight = 5.25kg
    Capacity = 1.1L

If the model has the letter 'T' at the end (after the UK), it includes the 'pet tool' in the box (worth approx £25 in the Shark shop). The pet tool is good for upholstery and stairs, it is not motorised, it spins due to the power of the suction.
This one has the 'T' so 'pet tool' is included, mine didn't.

One other difference is, the lift away is different for when you do the stairs etc.
On the 602 you lift the main body with the dust collection box away leaving behind the vacuum head on the floor. It is unpowered so cannot be used, you used the' lift away' with the hose/wand to do the stairs etc.
With the NZ801 the dust collection box lifts away leaving the vacuum as a stick vacuum with the head still powered and working. This is so that you can use it to get under beds or sofas, as the rollers on the main pickup head still spin but you are missing the bulky dirt collector (you carry that with you as its connected by the hose).

I have both models and didn't realise this until my son said he was that impressed with ours that he was going to get one for his new house, and asked me what the differences were, hence I looked on the shark website at the specs. (edited)

Totally agree! I took my daughter's apart to attempt a repair/replacement of the motor which was damaged due to her misuse and water ingress....their range of motors varies and we're too expensive so it ended up as landfill. Pity as I don't like to scrap repairable stuff but unfortunately it's what it is these days!

We've a similar one and it's alright. The separation is handy for doing the stairs, although the hose always feels a little on the short side when the vacuum is in one piece and I'm using the nozzle.

It does seem to get blocked quickly and loses performance drastically when it does, so you'll need to keep on top of cleaning it out. I pulled loads of dog hair out of the foot at the weekend - only short hairs but had somehow not made it through and then built up a massive blockage of fur. The wife was ready to chuck it as I'd already cleared out the usual culprits.

The main filter somewhere under the collection bucket is the key one to keep on top of - once you find it it's obvious, but don't rely on that being the only blockage point.

It also doesn't seem possible to take the roller out of the foot to clean it, so pulling long hair out, etc., isn't as easy at it could be.

Definitely an improvement on the last couple of cordless vacuums we've had but I'd do some research before jumping into buying another. The 5 year guarantee is a nice touch though, although I completely missed anywhere it said I'd need to register for it...

I love my shark corded vacuum and will never go back to battery cleaners. its far better than any dyson i have had and the shark battery one.
