Graphics look decent, story seems so so. Made by rocksteady aka the guys who made akrham series so must have some good moments.

If its anything like the guardian of the galaxy which was underrated and a blast. Puts you right into it like the movie.

Will try this when I've cleared some of my backlog.

I’ll save you some trouble. It isn’t anything like the guardians of the galaxy game (that received good ratings from media and players).

In my opinion people shouldn't buy this to show companies like Rocksteady that we want great proper games like the Arkham series and not this crap.

Tbh, it's not all down to Rocksteady. Rocksteady made the game, yes, but they're contracted and funded by WB Games to make it. WB Games wanted a live service game. Similar to what happened with Redfall, Bethesda got Arkane to make a game that wasn't what they normally make, and it failed because key people left. Unfortunately, if the higher ups tell you what to make and how they want it then this is what happens.

Think from videos I've seen the Suicide Squad isn't necessarily a terrible game, it's just not the game people wanted. Story is a bit mixed and some scenes and story choices have left fans angry. Combat and the actual game play mechanics seem decent.

Unfortunately, it's everyone jumping on the bandwagon without giving the game a go and judging it by the Arkham games.

As someone who's played the games mentioned in that comment (excluding Suicide Squad outside of the beta, but I have seen videos on it), that guy seems to be using a lot of ignorance to drum up controversy.

To go for the section on Suicide Squad (as this is the thread we're on), the relationship between Harley and Ivy is from the comics, and the Ivy in Suicide Squad is a reincarnation, not the character from the Arkham games. The fact they misrepresent this to brand Quinn a groomer is culture war alarmism and I'd err on the side of caution when consuming such media.

I've played it through and it's definitely what weekend game rentals used to be about. Fun for the story, some decent graphics in places, and a bit of silly carnage, but it's quickly repetitive and not really worth hanging about on once the story is done.
The new season drops in around a week, with playable Joker, battle pass, and a few other bits and bobs, so that's something for anyone on the fence.

Reviews aside once it’s plummeted a lot I’ll pic it up and make my own mind up
