    Can only mean they don't know where it's from, can't it? They've bought it from a supplier who processes lamb from various international sources - that's why it's cheap. It definitely won't be British, as they'd state that clearly. (edited)

    The individual piece will be marked where it is from. If it doesn't state the country, it will have a country/supplier code. Would be illegal to sell meat which is untraceable.
