About this deal

Description
The collected surviving episodes of the classic British sitcom starring Rodney Bewes and James Bolam as working class northern lads Bob and Terry. While Bob is trying to better his life, Terry is content to live it to the full, pursuing the ladies and supporting the local team. The set includes all eight surviving episodes from the 1960s series 'The Likely Lads', plus the 26 episodes from the two series of 'Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads' from 1973/4 and the 1974 Christmas special.

Yes they fell out. No it wasn't over a game of dominoes. RIP our Thelma.

Ian LeFrenais writer even laid out plans for a new series where Bob had fallen on hard times and Thelma had left him and Terry was doing VERY well but while Bewes was very keen James Bolam wasn't. He had plenty to do as it was and his huff with Bewes over an allegedly innocent comment in an interview which Collier was furious he revealed was still alienating him although he denied it I believe after Bewes death. But he's no worse than overwhelming majority of us when it comes to holding a grudge for a perceived betrayal though is he ? Although I'd love to have seen a new series with fellow geordie LeFrenais writing

Even to this day this series is head and shoulders clear of other comedies. My yoof is like this series and Men Behaving Badly meshed together ! Watching them I keep saying "We did that !"
