The blue led would look good 8)

Ah no worries bro. Fair enough ;) have a good day dude

My mistake, I was thinking of NCIX.

The NZXT G12 mount really is your best bet for cooling a GPU with a bog standard AIO. They’re not that expensive and the compatible with most AIOs that use the Asetek pump.

Just wondering if you can use it as a stand-alone super cool fan?

Great price for this, I've had mine for a few months now and it's very quiet whilst keeping temperatures low.

But the pump has RGB ;)

LGA 1150 and 1151 are exactly the same size and have the same HSF mounting holes, this will fit with no problem.

Is English your first language? If not, then no worries. If it is, have you tried reading what you actually typed out? You say it's not a 1151. Then say that the 1151 is the most recent Intel socket, but then that it's old stock (skeptical)

I suspect your own comment takes that prize . Def old stock . (highfive)

And today's prize for the most nonsensical comment of the day goes to....

not 1151 which is the msot recent Intel socket ...old stock I supose ...

Went to New Malden Extra.... Nada. Gutted. Anyone know where else I can land this?

Got one today from Tesco Stockton On Tees. It was still priced at £120. Asked for price check and walked away with it at £60. Well pleased.

Just picked one up at Tesco Hammersmith today (didn’t see any more out but may be worth a call as they are big). Was £120 on Monday but eventually went down to £60.

Anyone know if these are still retailing at £60 and are in stock in Tesco?

Has anyone seen one recently in store in the Yorkshire area?

That makes more sense than the Amazon listing. Thanks

Well, I looked into it. "Lite" does not mean white lights but these two are the same cooler with different lights. http://www.coolermaster.com/product/Lines/cpu-liquid-cooler/ This is their full range. So the models are MasterLiquid Pro, MasterLiquid and MasterLiquid Lite; in order from higher to lower range. This deal was for the ML240*L* which is the Lite one. So yes, the amazon link is the cheaper one for the same cooler with white lights.

The lite has white leds (Lite=Light) The RGB has Red Green and Blue leds hence why I said "white" the sink, tubes and fans are still black

It's a slightly different model unless I'm mistaken. It's a Cooler Master MasterLiquid Lite. Not sure if that makes a difference

most of the air coolers gives you more performance than this and this one has potencial to leak or water pump go down

Remember and this especially applies to retailers "in trouble" that sometimes they buy stock from the manufacturer without any warranty/support so they get a discount. Don't always assume you're covered.

It's about £24 on Amazon with a great returns policy. Why would anyone buy from Maplin right now??

Got it 18 when they had the extra 20% off last weekend

you can still return if faulty, and long term cooler master will support you better than Maplin ever would can't argue about the 2nd point but there could always be stock elsewhere

Not much cheaper than buying from amazon and no returns, doesn't really make sense trying to find one in maplins now, especially if there's only 1 left in chester

Ok thanks I will have a look. Lets hope my new MSI board is better at dealing with overclocking than it was setting it up....... Built plenty of PC's before with ASUS boards never had an issue. Almost pulled whats left of my hair out with the MSI !!.

Would agree with the Youtube method really, it's not as hard as it sounds though, it can just take some patience while you're working up in increments to get a decent stable OC. Main problem is, no one can say "set this to that, move this there and boom 4.7 OC!" Even the exact same model CPUs will OC differently, but that's just how it is. Some motherboards have software which can be useful as well, although I prefer to get stuck into the BIOS myself.

Yeah I almost went for a 1700 until the price drops before he second gen we’re released. I’m still at stock speed, u know of any guides to OC for a dummy like me. I use it everyday for work so all speed bumps help

Oh nice, I went with the 1700 and gave it an OC, really impressed. Been on Intel since I can remember, so fancied a change. Impressed!

I kept the stock fans but setup multiple rpm profiles in the bios based on the CPU temps. I get idle 30-40 at very low spin speed so pretty much silent. Then it ramps up when temps hit 60 which has been quite rare. I've left voltage at stock and done a 10% OC. If you want very quiet go for maglev's although they are a bit pricier than stock ball bearing fans

Installed mine now, great cooler in terms of it cools well, but the coolermaster fans are pretty loud under load. What fan's are folks using with this in order to reduce the noise?

All installed looks really good and so far only slightly louder than my case fans. Running nice and cool as well with a small overclock to 4.4.

Item has now sold out. Whoever went for it enjoy the bargain!

OOS but you still can place an order, they will notify you when back in stock.

No it's for a CPU. Well you could but it would cost so much that it would be stupid for a 1060. If you want better cooling on your 1060, take the shroud off, take the fan off and strap a 120mm one on in it's place powered by the PSU.

Those plastic tubing look very dodgy, I would go for the more pricely newer models with rubber tubing

Real men use liquid! (nerd)

AM4 BARCKET included?

But you dont want heat added, isn't the idea to keep it cool?

It requires removing motherboard if upgrading old cooler to fit plate to underside of it, if your case hasn't got an access. Cool beast! There is an option to fit second fan providing you have space for it.

Doesn't seem a great price, not sure how it compares, but my brother got a Fractal Kelvin Design T12 from ebuyer for the same price before christmas, although it had to go back as the pump didn't work.

if you have the space i'd get " ID Cooling Frostflow+ 280" over this any day ..

Good price. Evo 212 is £10 cheaper but from what I have read, this is a lot easier to use, much better looking and a better performer

Aint that just like saying this cooler is alright, but water cooling would be better. How daft of a comment, surely?

Performance wise, the Thermalright Intel Macho Rev.B is a better option for under £40. https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/6930/thermalright-macho-rev-cpu-cooler-review/index6.html Performs slightly better than the the Dark Rock Pro 3, and almost at Noctua NH-D15 levels

Good price for this top quality cpu fan. Various other cooler master bits are around half price too!

With Scan's delivery charges, you might be better off with getting it from Amazon for £20.47 (currently): Here These are a bit overkill for my locked CPU (and probably too tall) but they're so pretty.... :o

Showing 29.99 now

I don't think the LED can be disabled.... Could always change the fan I guess, but yah, the LEDs are usually hardwired to light up with the fan spinning.... Faster fan spins, brighter the lights are... LEDs off would mean fans not spinning.....

Good find. I wonder if the LED can be disabled? Was contemplating the EVO, but can't justify the extra cost now.

I have one of these for over two years and it is dead silent. The CPU stays cool under idle with the fan on its minimum 200rpm in PWM mode and even under load it is less audible than the power supply fan, case fan or GPU fans. It is a BEAST and is heavy as well as huge. it only just fits inside my Bitfenix Prodigy ITX case which lays the motherboard flat. RAM clearance will be an issue with tall sticks or if the CPU socket is too close tot he RAM slots (like in some ITX boards. I picked my ASUS board specifically to fit this cooler.) Comparable to Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3 and Noctua D14/D15 but cheaper.

lol we're still giving heat to two year old motherboards. intel are making a killing out of milking people.

I'm waiting on the Formula IX to drop in price, wake me when it happens.

blimey, this constitutes an attack these days OP copied the description from Ebuyer, blame ebuyer not the OP. Oh and i wasn't looking for this board 6 months ago? But thanks for taking the time Ta-ra

You are STILL attacking about this? The person typed "Socket 1151" yet not Z170. No one describes a motherboard by their socket, you always use the chipset. Whatever, absolute waste of time talking to you, you think I'm asking the world by suggesting a good deal post includes basic information. You fight as if you have some reason not to include the Chipset in the link. Also, you haven't been looking for this board for a ton, or you missed the 6 months where it was under 100 quid from amazon. https://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/ASUS-Maximus-VIII-Hero-Motherboard/product/B0126R4F8W?context=search
