There are many reasons to celebrate 4/20. For thousands millions of people, it's an opportunity to talk incessantly about how strong their weed is and how communism "actually works on paper." We don’t particularly care as long as it stays on paper. None of us at Windscribe are built to till fields; our hands are much too moisturized for such things. Others celebrate more important anniversaries, like the founding of a VPN company. That's right, you beautiful babies, it's Windscribe's 7th birthday today! On this very day, seven years ago, brilliant minds came together with a single mission: Keep Mark Zuckerberg from finding out the size of our private parts when browsing the internet. An idea was born, and it just so happened that the person who was writing down the details broke wind, and so Windscribe was born. Turns out life really does imitate art.

Ahh birthdays!

For seven years, we have worked our buttflaps off to create software to keep your personal information safe online. Seven beautiful, Red-Bull-filled years. A lot has changed since Windscribe's humble beginnings… we’ve grown from a team of 3 to almost 50 employees! We've gone from 0 users to over 50 million! We no longer drink cheap coffee brewed from parking lot gravel and sewer water; we’ve graduated to using filtered water. We no longer subsist on a diet of government cheese and pushups; now we eat 7-11 sandwiches with the crusts cut off and our pinkies up. Most importantly, our employees are no longer paid in bags of Cheerios, like infants, but with bags of premium protein powder and chewable multivitamins, like adults. And cash, also.

Our employees after years of getting paid in promises of going to Disneyland

Ahh, the good life. And it is all thanks to you, our users. As much as this is an anniversary celebration for us, in truth, we are really celebrating you. We all know celebrations include gifts, so we want to offer you the best deal of the year: Pay $29 for 1 month of Windscribe and get 11 months FREE! A whole year of Windscribe for less than $30 bucks. And if you renew your Pro account next year, you continue paying that same price! Forever! We could be losing money on this, but we aren't good enough at business to know for sure... we're only 7 years old

If you can pay the US$29 in USD with a fee-free card it's around £23.30, saving over £3.

I have a few vpns including a lifetime windscribe I managed to snag a few years ago. From what's available now I'd probably go for IPVanish via TopCashback where it is currently 100% cashback (get the 2 year deal). I find it better in most respects than Windscribe especially streaming at busy times.

As a bit of an FYI, if you don't need all locations you can pick two locations + unlimited data (which also gives unlimited data for the free servers) for around £2.50 per month.

Alternatively if you only need one location, you can purchase a static IP address for ~£20 per year, they have a limited selection there though so only really go for that option if you're daily driving a VPN and not using it specifically for getting around geoblocks

    Bit cheaper, but here
if you renew your Pro account next year, you continue paying that same price! Forever!

I would assume that on 10y anniversary they will offer good deals, so worth to consider stack social.

Had it on my iPhone. Quick and easy to use but so intrusive when clicking links especially through HUKD.

Their advert and tracker blocker (ROBERT) doesn't work with hukd, and a lot of other websites. You have to disable it when using the VPN

    Hi All,

How many users/devices can one have with Windscribe Pro please - I would like to get a VPN that also covers a couple of family members for laptops, tablets & phones.

Also, is this a good deal considering it is only for 1 year or is there anything else better out there currently?

    Thank You! (edited)

i got this yesterday it popped up on the news feed of the app it worked out at £23.30 after the currency conversion so far I've installed it on a firestick, fire tablet, android tablet ,mobile, laptop and desktop pc all connected at the same time.

first time I've used a proper vpn getting good speed results on the laptop 258mb connected to Canada my old laptop can't do much faster so I'm happy with that.

in fact getting faster speeds from there than from a sever 40 miles up the road

    From the help files.

You can use Windscribe on all your personal devices without any issues. But please keep in mind that the Windscribe service is strictly for personal use, so make sure those devices are yours and you are not using the service in any sort of datacenter environment or using it for commercial purposes.

just don't connect 50 firesticks at once i reckon you'll be fine

I have CyberGhost and got that 3 years ago when Quidco had 100% cashback on a 3yr plan. But I recently bought 3yrs of Windscribe Pro for £44 inclusive via Stack Social. This was an offer on here a few months ago. I think Windscribe Pro is fantastic.

Here a few suggested ones to try in UAE/Dubai by a few independent review sites...

    comparitech.com/blo…ae/

From the last one updated on March 31, 2023...
Note: Over the last 12 months many VPNs have been blocked in the UAE. This article is regularly updated to show working VPNs. Occasionally, VPNs on this list may be temporarily blocked.

    Hi All,

The offer was still available today & as soon as I signed in to my account, the $29 option was no longer there & it has gone back up to $69!

Will guess will have to wait for other deals to come round...
