In another post someone said that it will be 1300 on the coming black Friday

So tempted to get the xps 9570, i7, 16gb, 512gb. It was £1300 on black Friday but this makes it close, £1372? Seem like a good deal?

My 15 month old laptop's battery is now "coming to the end of its useable life". Dell don't give a shit as it's out of warranty. I'd avoid them

Moved to vouchers as it's a code, thanks @Buckyball

As expected 15% coupon expired now absolutely tons of xps stock. What a swizz dell. If anyone from dell reads this, good way to alienate your customers. (devil)

Yep, not a great trick to pull, just loses you customers in the long run

They clearly removed all the XPS machines before they did the 15% offer. Imagine they'll all be back on there again tomorrow... It is weird they removed them though!

Prime day tomorrow (y) 🏻 I’ll try my luck there

Well I’ve been on dell outlet 100s of times, never seen no xps available so cold this time. If they don’t want to give discount then don’t bother

i wonder, why voted cold? were there any better deals for alienware? maybe I am not aware of such...

I want them to do 30% again :(

I'm guessing certain people like to rebel against alienware citing "you can build XYZ for cheaper" (annoyed) Personally I have always found alienware a great purchase for anyone not interested in building a pc rig themselves, and these 10-12% discounts are a great incentive to purchase. Hot from me.

Why is this getting voted cold? I rarely see codes for Alienware..?

Suggest a comparable laptop to the XPS 15 for less money? Put next to MBPs, generally they're pretty good for the same spec. (Though the current genreation has pushed the pirces up a bit - I'm getting frustrated waiting until they appear in the outlet.)

Disagree. If you just want "a PC with OK performance", I find it very hard to match the price of a mass produced, off the shelf model. Especially if you start with nothing and count the price truly with all the components (case, wire, cooler, keyboard, etc) and legal software. That said, I build my own. Over 20 years, it may have saved me money as I never replace it completely. For a single build from scratch, probably not worth it for the monetary saving unless you have an interest in learning.

How about for the 13” Alienware laptop?

It's very rare that a big box shifter offers good value. You'd generally be better off learning to build one, it should take about 30-60 minutes on youtube. Then you can cut out the labour costs you'd be paying the box shifter.

all system builders are overpriced. dell are no exception. you might as well just wait for a deal on here on a prebuilt desktop pc. because that'll probably the best deal for a prebuilt one. otherwise everyone else will tell you to build it yourself.

Damn you visa! ALMOST got 9370 for 930, then it get flagged a fraud and by the time it was sorted, gone

I've found Dell's customer service to be pretty good, better than most of the other brands including HP and probably the best of any of the PC brands (e.g. not Apple) - they also let you diagnose the issue, if you tell them it's the motherboard, they will probably just replace it without fuss. HP and Lenovo have been the ones I've had real difficulty with in the past.

Let's hope it stays that way, if you need to rely on Dell customer service it doesn't exist. Take a look at any reviews and you'll see what I mean. They hus accuse you of mishandling or dropping it.

My Dell Studio XPS laptop PSU from 10 years ago has coil whine as well, but it does seem to does seem to go quiet after running for a while. More important is the terrible service I received from Dell when the laptop arrived faulty and they refused to take it back as I couldn't return it for more than 2 weeks to as I was away. The engineer who 'fixed' it basically replaced the motherboard and whole screen unit, and in the process damaged one of the hinges. The only part not reaplaced was the base casing, which includes a set of touch sensitive buttons, that swiftly developed the problem of randomly activating themselves. I would NEVER buy a Dell laptop again apart from something very cheap as I would expect that to be of poor quality. The laptop I bought was a great deal, and still cost me over £700 over 10 years ago, it wasn't worth the stress, oh and the VGA stopped being supported after 5years as it had a fancy Nvidia SLI setup (annoyed)

Doesn't work for me on desktop version

Had this issue when they ran this discount earlier in the year. The mobile site has an issue with the code. Try the desktop version and it should work or you can go to the online chat and they'll email you the quote with the discount included.

This is in fact an official Dell store. These are certified refurbished and sold by Dell. Dell Financial Services (a large part of the Dell Technologies group) is operating in the retail market as This is an official Dell website and not a re-seller.

This is not a great deal sorry. Best stick with Dell Outlet

As tragic tramp above said this isn’t the official refurb store so don’t get caught out thinking it is. I don’t know anything about this seller so might be alright - prices look expensive though.

According to this yes. But the prices are terrible. Dell Latitude E6230 - £239 - WTF? I have two of those that I bought refurbished off Ebay for not much more than £100 each. One a couple of years ago, and another about a year ago, I might add. Awfully overpriced.

Looks ok. But everything is already hugely overpriced even with discount - Dell E7240 ultrabook for £409.99! Got two of these for under £130 each the other day! Is this actually a Dell owned site? Hard to tell.

Go for the Outlet with discount, I got my alienware. 6 months ago and have still to see anything with similar specs for the price I payed.

They have some unique models, the Alienware 13 R3 for instance with OLED display. Sure it's heavy, but the other computers with an OLED display that leap to mind are tablet things with 4GB of RAM (double it, double it again, then we'll talk) or a Thinkpad which doesn't include a GPU but costs a grand more than the Alienware.

Alienware are great computers but I think they're over priced. Anything to get some money off is great. Wish I had your budget for a laptop.
