Good to know: Samsung EPP Stores (Student and Network discount portals) are not eligible for cashback with this promotion.

Samsung have updated their terms to reverse this - Samsung EPP Stores are eligible.62221-9DOO0.jpg

But sceptical about these Samsung cashback promos...not sure if anyone remembers when they did the soundbar promo where initially gave a high value cashback and then all of a sudden they reduced it during the promo and they wouldn't budge when people were trying to get them to honour the higher amount
    bloooo's avatar
Yeah that was dodgy, glad I took some screenshot during the order, they caved eventually
  4. shopper32's avatar
I’ve got a quote from richer sounds for the 65’’ s95b for £1399 which expires tomorrow. This will bring it down to £1199
    lethalkhizzle's avatar
    how did you manage that??
  5. Thecountry's avatar
Can't believe people are falling for this, they've upped their prices by about the same amount you need to claim back. Cold.
    foxxes's avatar
Yes, I'm sure every single retailer on that huge list of eligible retailers all upped their prices by the same amount at the same time.
  6. B_Marvel's avatar
The main benefit of this offer is finding the retailer's who forgot/system failed to up their prices in time and bag some deals.

Happens each year. Although the base offer is much worse this time with no EPP and no £200 bonus for buying 5 items.
  7. moneybanks14's avatar
Absolute joke, everything has increased by 300 quid+ I was looking at the 43 q90 5v for £699 yesterday then £100 trade in. It's now £999.

    False marketing again.

The 65 q900b 8k could have been had for about £2100 with trade in and a free £650 soundbar. It's now 5 grand today. (edited)

Why are people saying Student discounts don't work when the page clearly says 2021.samsungpromotions.claims/20_…ing

EPP purchases (Samsung Students, Samsung Networks, Samsung Partners, Samsung Exclusive Offers & Samsung Business) are also eligible.

If you've received a staff discount from one of the participating retailers, you will not be eligible to take part in this promotion.

So by that, Totum,Studentbeans, Unidays etc should be fine

And as far as I can tell so should BLC card with it being an EPP
    CrispyUK's avatar
This has recently changed, when the promotion was initially launched, the FAQ answer regarding discounted purchases was as below:

If you've made a purchase via EPP Discount Portals or have received staff discount from one of the participating retailers, you will not be eligible to take part in this promotion.

You'll be able to take part in this promotion if you're made your purchase with student discount or an in-store discount from one of the participating retailers.

Word of warning, these cash back deals are
so popular that they normally end up taking ages to pay cashback. I have only just received my £400 cashback for their last sound bar promotion. It took 8 weeks total to pay out, if you follow the rules they always pay out, I have never had a problem with any of their promos.
    Shak5's avatar
8 weeks is nothing to be fair. Quidco takes 6 months to pay out £2...
  10. mechanicalman's avatar
As mentioned by others the 65" OLED was around £1500 on black Friday. Now its back to £2200.

I suspect a January price drop after this promotion has finished, so the cashback is not worth it. I wondered if this may work...

    1. Purchase the TV from John Lewis beofre the 20th. Ask for a delviery date in early January.
    2. If the TV price drops in Xmas sales then claim the differance back ( If it doesn't drop, cancel the order).
    3. Claim the cashback as well.

Can anybody point out any flaws in my plan?
    TheBargainMan's avatar
Nope. I have done something similar with LG TV before. Bought it just before their sale with voucher and then I claimed price reduction two weeks later
  11. Rup's avatar
55 QD-oled with cashback, is approx £200 more than I bought on the EPP store 2 weeks ago.
    Thecountry's avatar
    Yes such a con
  12. speediemc's avatar
Retailers have increased prices by £200 to fall in line with this so technically it’s not a deal
    sheffield788's avatar
The non participant retailers did not put their prices up. You ring a participant retailer for price match and you get the product from there. You claim cashback after that.
  13. nauman.ahmad's avatar

Some people even got it for 874 on black Friday with a free soundbar (edited)

I missed the offer on tv with free sound bar due to out of stock. But don’t mind waiting for it. Also can’t make up mind which is the good model for 65 inch for around £1000… (edited)

I am getting serial number not valid for Q930 soundbar purchased from Crampton and Moore tv. This i annoying. I have emailed them. Lets see what they say Did you guys get your claim accepted through ?
    sunnsands's avatar
You'll need to get it from the sticker on the soundbar, not the box.

"Please note: For TV/AV and home appliance products, we can only accept a picture of the serial number from the device itself, not from its packaging."

I bought a bespoke AI heat pump dryer 2 week ago. It was £799 plus £100 off trade in for my old crappy indesit dryer. Total £699. The dryer is now £899 with a max £120 cashback and no trade in

I am getting a bit lost.... Reading through the comments.
Can anyone clarify if I buy on Samsung.com but going through perks at work will I be able to claim the 100 pounds cashback.
I bought a watch on the 30th of November and now thinking if it is worth it returning it and buying so I can claim the cashback.
    Many thanks

....so not only Amazon direct but make sure it's UK and not EU.

Damn...On the face of it this sounds great, but because of the recent price increases, the savings are nowhere near what you would expect (and in some cases negligible). Sneaky b'stards!
  25. Raaawr's avatar
Would a price beat from richer sounds affect this? I've done that in the past with a tv , but just wanted to check nothing had changed.

Secondly, I have a 25% voucher code for samsung.com , would using that affect this, can't see anything in the t&c's but just want to be sure. (edited)

Order it, make the claim (they will confirm within 5 working days), if all good, keep it. If not, send it back.
  26. manojrajani's avatar
i think they run these promos to lure people in. i had traded my old phone in when i bought S22 and till to date i have not received the £200.00 cash back that they were advertising
    TheCostOfLies's avatar
I've received hundreds of pounds from Samsung over the years - they offer some of the best deals on the market with their cashback and trade in offers.
  27. mark9915's avatar
Shame the fridge freezer we’re after isn’t in the offer but I note it’s gone up by about £170 since last week!  I assume the same applies to the items in the offer. (edited)
    colb11's avatar
You assume correctly. Scamsung are a devious bunch at times but they can also offer some incredible deals, you just need to be aware of the historical pricing of what you're purchasing.

Is anyone buying Q990B soundbar with this offer. Where should I look / buy please
    sunnsands's avatar
    An Option:
Use the below post to go to samsung.com and get 25% off
    facebook.com/126…54/

    Then claim £300 cashback

Currently its in stock for £1399
after 25% off and £300 cashback it will be £750

This is what I see through my work portal (perks), does it mean that I can still claim back £300 on top of the discount shown here. I read in one of the post that work discount will invalidate the cashback. Any idea.
    sunnsands's avatar
no cashback when purchased through work portal.
i havent seen anything better than facebook + cashback

Any of yous had your "broken tablet" trade in confirmed as ok? Reading the T&Cs of the trade in now, it says they should not be jailbroken or custom firmware and so on. I was going to put in my old Nexus 7 tablet but it has a custom rom on it, so guess i'll have to faff with trying to revert it to stock
My only concern with trade in is it looks like it takes "up to 45 days" for this to happen, where they could try and claw back their £150
    MXRRXM's avatar
Where are you buying the tablet from? I just checked and Samsung Shop Online will take returns or exchanges up until the 20th of January. That's 40 days which is likely to be good enough unless unlucky. I'd just play it safe and buy one from eBay for £10-20. (edited)

Just put my claim form in for Q990B soundbar. Got back confirmation of claim almost straightaway. One thing to note was during the claim form they stupidly describe having received the product as "Delivered" Yes or No? I said No because I picked it up from the store. Because of this the form didn't ask me for the S/N or S/N pic upload but the email does (with warning that missing details need uploading within 7 days or claim gets cancels).

I had to then use the claim tracking link and answer YES to "Delivered" in order to be able to upload S/N info.

Dunno who makes these forms but they need a word
  34. lgvg's avatar
Hi. Can this be used today

Wow I managed to grab a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 11" (128GB) for 509 before the price rise (just after midnight on 1st December). Complete Savings will give me 10% back; I giftcarded 500 worth using one4all vouchers (20% discount) and bought a 20quid tablet from CEX to claim the 202 cashback for trading in an eligble device. That takes my current totaly for the S8 to 176 quid. I am now going to claim a further 120quid from this Samsung promotion....so my S8 tablet which is now RRP 649 is gonna cost me a grand total of 56 quid... (edited)
