If you are going to post tripe to an offers site, at least read the details: this is membership of Ancestry, not DNA testing.

Good question,, I have just re-signed up to Ancestry but I have just recieved an offer ffrom My Heritage for the complete package for £69.99 for a year, I have 14 days to cancle Ancestry but I'm not sure which is best, used both previously.

Can I ask why does one need a 12 month membership? This DNA stuff feels like a 1 off thing, no?

this is not for DNA - this is for access to census records (not 1921), 1939 register, BMD, etc

if you phone up, you can get worldwide for half price.

I tried this just now and the guy told me he could only give me the premium at half price! I willhave to try again and hope I get a different person!

Can anyone who has taken this offer up tell me how much extra it is showing to upgrade to worldwide.
Really want the worldwide membership but wondering if the price shoots up again if you take out this offer for the uk membership then try and upgrade

Fudgetoo - see below... I have previously had a paid subscription which lapsed a few days ago, I just used this special offer and you can see the costs listed in my account to upgrade below... hope it helps...

Excellent service, beware you maybe shocked or have a fantastic stories what you find out about your heritage. Highly recommend doing the dna service if you can as well.

The premium membership is just UK. You need to upgrade to the worldwide option for access to everything.

I spoke to Ancestry on the phone, who very kindly offered me the worldwide plan with 50% discount, after a little haggling.

Just adding on here although this is expired always worth calling up ancestry on 08007831340 if yours has just ended etc - I have managed to renew my worldwide membership for £89.99 for 12 months - really nice lady I spoke to said I automatically qualified for discount - didn’t have to haggle at all

Just tried the 0800:number for Ancestry to renew my membership, apparently no offers at the moment, so have let it lapse until I find a offer on hotukdeals..
