Dispatches from homeofbrands / Sold by homeofbrands

( Also on their official website for £49.99: homeofbrands.com/zwi…ot/ )

Thanks to celestial523's heads up - I looked at this seller's store and sure enough, there's a few good Zwilling bits and pieces. More here from this seller.

Item model number: 40110-040
( I can see a 'Twin Nova' range from Zwilling but not a three-piece ).

I see a HK seller with a very similar set for sale (pots are slightly different), but not any other hits.

This Nova cookware set from Zwilling includes a 16 cm Saucepan, 20 cm Stew Pot and 24 cm Stockpot, perfect for a variety of cooking needs. The pans are designed from scratch resistant stainless steel and are suitable for all hobs including induction. The ergonomic handles make the pans easy to manoeuvre, while folded pouring rims allow for splash-free pouring. The filling scale offers easy measuring of ingredients while the glass lid locks in flavours and nutrients for a delicious result.

  • A perfect addition to any kitchen, this Zwilling Nova 3-piece pan set includes a 16 cm Saucepan, 20 cm Stew Pot and 24 cm Stockpot.
  • Designed from stainless steel with an aluminium core, these pans are scratch resistant and provide quick and even heat distribution.
  • The set includes glass lids so you can keep any eye on your food without releasing heat and lock in delicious flavours and nutrients.
  • Suitable for all hobs including induction, the pan set features ergonomic handles for easy manoeuvrability around your kitchen.
  • From soups to homemade casseroles, you can cook a range of recipes with ease using the pouring rim for splash-free food distribution.

Amazon (sold by Amazon) has the Nova set of 5 pans (same range) for £253.20 (1 in stock!) amazon.co.uk/Zwi…h=1

If you CBA looking at their store (there's not a lot of Zwilling items) here:50828550-adp0Q.jpg50828550-X2DV0.jpg50828550-29C9t.jpg

There's no mention of where they're made. I suspect China. Can't complain about quality for the price.

Got the pots a day later than scheduled by Royal Mail (two days later than most who live in a city - suspect there are traffic issues going on!). Here's what I received!50849245-buJbp.jpg50849245-s877Q.jpgThe sides of the box are red with diagrams of each pan specifying sizes, not worth photographing!
There's a leaflet inside (in red) with care instructions:
50849245-qbdNU.jpg50849245-rQ1vo.jpgNo sign anywhere of country of manufacture.

I suspect (as with most items nowadays) if something is considered a "plus" that could encourage a customer to buy, the manufacturer is usually shouting about it...maybe the country of manufacture isn't mentioned for a reason? Or I could just be a tad cynical. (edited)

I love how in-depth you go, with your researching and reviewing. I similarly consider all the angles of a prospective purchase!
I'd be interested to know what your verdict is on the quality of the pans, once you've used them for a bit. I've been needing a set for a while.

Got a reply from Zwilling this morning about this very pan set (Twin Nova 40110-040). Made In Vietnam, if anyone's still wondering!50879961-Ag2PM.jpg

Are the lids oven safe? And to what temperature?

    Are they decent pans?

It used to be that the twin label "Zwilling" (2 ppl holding hands) items were made in Germany. I recently watched a documentary about Zwilling J.A. Henckels. They stated that these days some of their items are made in china but labelled the same as the Germany made items. The only clue to where they are made is the price. Cheaper items are likely made in China and more expensive ones are made in Germany. My guess is these pots are made in china, whereas some of the other pots on sale are from Germany (i.e. 1 pot for £59), but you wont really know for sure unless they tell you. (edited)

So, it's either made in Germany or Vietnam - likely the latter, from what I can make out. Mine dispatched really quickly (well done, seller ) so hopefully I'll let you know soon - post is slower here. (edited)

Pan set is due tomorrow - woo hoo! Had to throw some of my old pans away as they weren't suitable for induction (a nice problem to have, but I didn't want to spend £00s replacing them)

I need pots for my new-ish kitchen but I prefer pots with an old-fashioned straight handle...try draining a pot with curved side handles! (I am notoriously rubbish in the kitchen though, so might just be me).

    I love Zwilling though...and it's a good price...so...bought.

50828903-wfc7r.jpgThere is *one* negative review about a pan set where they allege it may be a return, but I can't see any other negative reviews of this ilk.

The only 'Nova' Zwilling pan set I can come up with is 'Twin Nova' (Amazon's descriptions are often not that accurate). The item number for the 8-piece set - on Zwilling Canada's website is 40110-034 (this 3-piece set is 40110-040), which could suggest it's the same range.

As it's Canadian sites I'm mostly seeing these 8-piece sets on, many of the pots are measured in Qts (though there is a 20cm pot with a steamer insert in the 8-piece set).

Can't figure out where these are made, though...not yet, anyway. (edited)

Might be useful - the 1.6L milk pot (also on sale from this third-party seller's store) is 40100-147 (whether this correlates to this pan set...not sure...but it's also the Twin Nova range)

    Translated from Polish: www-kitaba-pl.translate.goog/pro…=sc
    ( 329 zloty = £62.79 approximately! - obviously I can't say if this is a typical price)50830640-ZJRU6.jpg50830640-Wf6r1.jpgThis cached page of the Twin Nova 20cm Stockpot is £79.95 RRP webcache.googleusercontent.com/sea…b-d
    - no indication where it's made, though50830640-npMv8.jpgThe underside of the 16cm Twin Nova saucepan is shown in this brief Vietnamese Youtube video at 0:27, but still no clues (they call their pans "304 stainless steel" - apparently the same as 18/18 and 18/10, according to Google)50830640-UdKJl.jpgRandom Unboxing has a quick look at the 24cm Twin Nova Stockpot and it says "Hecho En Vietnam" = "Made In Vietnam" at 0:16 - so, that's as clear as mud "40102-247" - I think, it's a bit blurry - is also on the sticker on the bottom-right at the start.50830640-6jZKv.jpg There's a (translated) Russian website that has 402102-47 as "Manufacturer Country Germany" - wonder if that's just a generic guess based on the brand, or do different countries have the same range made in different factories?50830640-y0PnM.jpgI suspect this is just an older range on clearance, though, happy to be corrected. Doesn't Zwilling sell Staub branded cast iron pans? Never seen any Zwilling branded ones before.

Can't say I know their product ranges that intimately (only own a few knife sets and cutlery sets!) but they definitely have a few Zwilling branded pan sets all over the internet currently.

    google.com/sea…are

From a quick look, Staub seems to be mostly cast iron items. (edited)

For search engine purposes and price comparisons, I've changed the title to Twin Nova (as opposed to Amazon's 'Nova' title) - should've done it when it was first confirmed, but better late than never
