Avoid at all costs - this isn't a deal. Google it and check reviews.

NOT to be confused with a ROYAL MINT coin!

They would not have allowed it to go live if it was or they weren't happy. Welcome to report it

As much as i love free stuff AND Disney, having read some of the reviews I don't think i want the headache of dealing with an unscrupulous company sending me a number of further unwanted items and then entering into an ongoing argument over cancellation and refund.

Wouldn't order from here again ordered coin last year for my son that was free pay postage kept taking money from my bank sending other coins i did not order sent items back for refund was a nightmare get money back I would avoid just causes more problems lots of phone calls to get money back not worth the hassle.

It’s junk, you’re basically selling your personal data for base metals of almost zero value.

Oh nice. You have one already. Looks like they plan to issue more coins to collect

Avoid this company. They'll send you more coins and charge you for them. When you return the coins for a refund, they'll say they haven't been received. The trick is in the sign up form. If you select 'allow' on "marketing," they'll eventually send you the entire collection
    eiamhere69's avatar
I would imagine in this event, the items would be free, if they've been shipped under the guise of marketing materials.

Regardless, if they have shipped the items, especially without being ordered, I would also imagine the responsibility for collection lies with them also.

I would personally avoid predatory companies, who build their entire business model around legal loop holes and scrupulous, borderline illegal business practices. I don't need a chunk of metal that much. (edited)

This is the company I got a poppy coin from years ago, filled in all my details without hitting submit for the payment after reading reviews, and they still sent the coin. They were still looking the money 2 years later.
    TheProf's avatar
I read somewhere that just typing in the fields of an online form is enough for a company to collect your details. No need to press send.
Frightening really. Be careful what and where you type. (edited)

COLD… Shocking business model, constantly harass people to purchase more… Read before voting peeps..

It’s only legal tender in the Bahamas.  Nice coin.  They do call you up to try and sell you the rest but just tell them your not interested

Too late ordered one for the wife.. Paid via PayPal
    msward's avatar
Go in to Paypal account and check who you have authorised to take cash, you can simply remove them from it then they cant take any money in future, I bet they setup a payment link so they can bill your account in future.
  15. Sentral's avatar
These guys are just straight up scammers. Lock you in and you'll be paying a lot more than £2.50!

Does HUKD actually read any of the comments before putting dodgy deals like this in their "Our selection of the best deals of the day" email?

Careful. Although the web address is londonmintoffice.org ...I cannot anywhere, from the linked page, find how to go back to the LondonMint website. There are no links anywhere. Also, when I searched on London mint website I couldn't find this deal

I'm sure it's fine. They have the gold coin £30 on this page
  19. brum86's avatar
Ordered, arrived and no issues with further payments or harassing from the company so don't be put off

If it's not Royal Mint, then avoid. These coins are NOT legal tender as they won't be accepted in court for payment of a debt or fine in the UK. Also it does NOT cost £2.50 to post one of these.
  21. Moley_Mole's avatar
***AVOID*** London Mint Office at all costs, they give these free coins away so they can get their hands on your data, and sell it to other companies. You'll be overrun with spam email in no time.
They try to pass themselves off as the same as The Royal Mint, they are just a marketing company.
The majority of the coins they sell are NOT UK legal tender, or UK circulated. It's also impossible to get off of their mailing list, I've been trying for 2 years.

Always setup a spam email account for this type of thing, I have have my name with 1-10 after, just use one up then when I get too much spam, delete it and use the next one, think I am currently on 8 or 9 of the current email. Its great way to give out an email for things you will only ever want to use once and want to be able to stop all the spam without having to set up spam blocks.

London Mint Office - it’s literally Mickey Mouse money.

That, and they sign you up for a coin subscription that is a pain to get out of, and they expect you to pay for future unsolicited delivery of coins.

    This post should be removed.
