Hello, another lifetime licence from me, again thanks to the Spanish HUKD sister site promodescuentos.com/ofe…211
Tried in both iphone and android, both activated fine. To enter the code go to the app settings, tap on the app version and enter the code
It does not have sync with google calendar yet but it seems it's being developed, but it can be worked around by syncing the google calendar as a local calendar (which means it will be read-only, so to speak)
It seems very well designed and it has a pleasant UI, I currently use gcalendar for calendar stuff and habitnow for task nagging, it seems this could replace both

thanks to @Cush27390 for this
Install the app, open it, click the settings cog then tap on the version number a few times which presents a code box.

Code didn't work for me - is it on the subscription page under lifetime option then 'redeem code' box in payment screen?
Muy
No. Tap on settings icon, scroll down to 'App version' and tap on it once or twice to reveal where you put in the code.

Just be aware that apps like this are pretty much always readable by the developer and team meaning whatever "private" entries you add are not actually private.

I got the code to work, thanks. However, the developer's responses to negative comments are a bit unprofessional. It makes me question if the app is trustworthy from a security point of view.

How do you activate with code? I can’t seem to find any option on iOS?

Thanks op
It apparently collects a lot of data and shares it with third parties. Also on Android its doesnt mention £30. Just says install. Not many users. Use with caution.

These things exist to mine data. Don't get something just because it is free.
Someone put their time and effort into making this app, so they can give it for free? There isn't such thing called free lunch ( except in Sikh temple)
DoubleUp
You are right in principle, but I think that’s quite a sweeping statement. Certain, particularly independent developers will often give their product away for a limited time. Same with authors of kindle books etc. They often give them away for a bit to increase visibility, encourage reviews etc. So to say that these things exist just to mine data isn’t really fair on the dev unless you actually know that for a fact.

Google Calendar has Google Tasks integrated into it now. I only use Google Calendar for both events and reminders / tasks.
KevlarMonkey
Can you get tasks and reminders (I seems to remember reminders created with Google speaker and such we never absolutely in any external app)

Looks totally unnecessary when both apple and google already provide task/to-do apps...don't get suckered in just because you think you are getting something for nothing. (edited)
Gareth_Lewiss6w
Can't speak of Google's apps because I'm very much in the Apple ecosystem, however, the Reminders app on iOS has been massively improved over the past couple of years (as has their Notes app). Back in the day, there were much better options that the stock apps... while there are still some really great indie apps out there, it feels like they are less needed with Apple's improvements to their own apps.

Thanks. Giving it a go until it integrates Google. The work around didn’t do anything, but I’ll have another look at it later.

Check out the integrated Google Tasks in Google Calendar. (edited)

For looking alternative . I highly recommend “TimeTree” it works with google calendar and also helps coordinate and share calendars. I have been using it few years with my family members, it works very well

Looks good but then I saw the price

woah, someone needs to be schooled in customer service and PR
Tip Tap Apps October 27, 2023 What you said makes no sense and is technically impossible for any app to do. I understand you are not a technical person and would not understand that. If you wish to leave the 1 star, so be it, I just hope you understand your full name and your nonsense comment is visible to everybody.
haidfitch
Not uncommon for anyone who gives them 1 star
Won't install their app, but I'm reading the responses

Anyone switched to this after the recent update to Evernote completely ruined it?

No Google calendar sync? Odd.
I've been using Month: Calendar Widget for 5 years, incredibly simple , definitely recommend over this.

Does any of this sound alarm bells?

I don't get HUKD. The heat this has received is crazy - makes no sense. It was never/has never been worth £30. Create an app - price it as £1,000 and then offer it free a while later - everyone will jump on it regardless of it's value or use.
It's a nice looking app and seems to work well, but why would I want something different when the big boys that most of use already do this task adequateltly and as such it's only one place I need to visit daily to schedule my mundane life. I simply don't get it

Cheers OP

I find it hilarious that an app from an unknown developer that does nothing more than the already free apps from apple and google gets so much excitement just because people think they are saving £25 on a subscription. The app doesn’t even have end-to-end encryption nor does it sync with other existing calendars!
Really says something about the mentality of HUKD’ers.
haidfitch
So nothing new above what is already offered by Google Tasks or Keep Notes then?
Google don't sit arguing with people who gave them 1 star reviews either 👀
Scrooge_McDuck
I don't think it matters that this has no end-to-end encryption anyway. All the developers will spy on will be task lists like this:
1030am....get up 1035am....sit on sofa 1040am....surf HUKD 1100am....wait for postman to deliver the unnecessary stuff you bought two days ago from HUKD 1115am....unbox the unnecessary stuff and have mild regret when you realise you didn't need it and you bank balance is too low to be spending money on unnecessary stuff. 1130am....log back on to HUKD and repeat
newbie68
Are you spying on me
steveblackman
Check out the replies to the negative reviews. The developer seems like a nasty piece of work.

This won't work with my ADHD traits.... I genuinely don't want to look at the tasks in the first place. The notion of a "task" implies it's effort, and a chore.... So I will do ANYTHING to procrastinate.
It's useless to me.....
Justintime12
Interesting. Thanks for sharing :/

I have been using Microsoft To Do since Google Keep stopped having reminders in Google Calendar Google tasks were too limited
Microsoft & Google seem to be completely free and the most likely to be here in 10 years
Evernote had too many limitations for free users
I did try Microsoft Onenote, but the search the search function on the Microsoft OneNote mobile app isn't as robust as it is on the desktop app. It only highlights the word you're searching for, rather than jumping to each occurrence of that word in your notes. This can make it difficult to find specific information, especially if the word you're searching for is common or appears multiple times on a single page.
What do others use?
VincentAdultman
I've got TickTick, which tbh is probably overkill for my needs. I think I'll look for something a little more primitive, in all honesty.
Would absolutely recommend to anyone to try though.

Thanks, thought I’d give it a go. Worked on iOS, thanks to Muy’s instructions (edited)

Thanks, giving it a try, I love productivity apps!

Logo very similar to Tiktok. I am skeptical

Comments from the developers towards 1 star reviews is awful. No wonder they are flogging this app for free

Don't do it

Get a pocket notepad instead, be away from distraction.
Install the app, open it, click the settings cog then tap on the version number a few times which presents a code box.
