A must have is the herb sauce - I used Greek stye Yogurt.

- 180g/6¼oz full-fat cream cheese
- 1 free-range egg yolk (white reserved for the salmon)
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
For the salmon- 1kg/2lb 4oz salmon fillet, skin and bones removed
- large bunch fresh dill, chopped
- 280g jar chargrilled mixed peppers in oil, drained
- 1 free-range egg
- 1 tbsp milk
- 500g pack ready-rolled puff pastry
- flour, for dusting
For the herb sauce- 3 spring onions, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp caster sugar
- 1 tbsp snipped fresh chives
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh flatleaf parsley
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
- 200g/7oz full-fat crème fraîche
- ½ lemon, juice only
(edited)Thanks
even after you chop off the head and scale and bone your still better off by 40% value wise
Plus the more do it the better that you get it’s a good skill to have
means you can get cheap salmon every time this comes up
you’ll get 14 fillets for £14 approx
way cheaper than 2 puny little slithers they sell you normally for £4.45
do the math yourselves!!!
Surely a morning queue just like visiting a fish harbour
Origin is Norwegian farmed.
Brined the salmon with salt, vinegared we, now freezing for a week. Plan to use/try for sushi. 🍣 Or use for fish steaks.
£6 a KG is a great deal though.
Obviously some people aren't overly bothered about farmed vs wild but imo the farmfoods deal is muuuch better value for money
