THE IRON CLAW

The true story of the inseparable Von Erich brothers, who made history in the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s. Through tragedy and triumph, under the shadow of their domineering father and coach, the brothers seek larger-than-life immortality on the biggest stage in sports.

  • Average Rating (how much RT users liked it): 4.6 / 5
  • Critics Consensus: Powerfully acted and profoundly sad, The Iron Claw honors its fact-based story with a dramatization whose compassionate exploration of family ties is just as hard-hitting as its action in the wrestling ring.
  • Audience Says: The Iron Claw is a powerfully emotional movie with some outstanding acting in support of a very sad real-life story.

How were people's first experiences; any disadvantages to be aware of if attending one of these screenings in future?

Also, did everyone have subtitles on in their screens?

Having to enter 2 email addresses for 2 tickets was a pain . We had subtitles in Stirling

Looks good, but real shame there is no option for a cinema in Glasgow as there are some fantastic independent cinemas here

Bathgate, Stirling and Bo’ness all not too far

However I’m finding the website isn’t very user friendly

this is a really good offer. a great film, a lot of cinemas to choose from, and the chance to visit a little local cinema I've never been to before.

Seems to be a BFI initiative.

Incredible deal. Cinema is close to being a luxury for many people these days. So I hope plenty who wouldn't usually be able to afford the visit can take advantage of this.

There's one near me but it's all a bit pointless as it's in the evening. Good for those who can get there though.

There's one near me as well, but the film starts at 5 pm - I won't be able to get there for that time due to work. A good offer though, but think you do have to pay a booking fee of £1 per seat (well, at least at my local Picturehouse it says).

Does anyone recall the scheme that used to do this years ago? Just the other day I was thinking about all the free Cinema tickets I used to get. (edited)
    maizipops's avatar
ShowFilmFirst? They used to do lots of cinema screenings but these days it seems to be last min seat fillers for poor selling gigs or shows.
  38. alex_3000's avatar
Wow great deal thanks, the cinema is so expensive these days cost me £36 to take my daughter to the Odeon!
    b1g1an's avatar
Depends on where you live, cheapest it's ever been in a lot of places, you can get two tickets for a fiver at Vue and Odeon using Meerkats, tenner for two any other time.

That's why I don't bother with screenings any more as they are always full. (edited)
