If you are within 14 days of the cooling off period then go to customer service team by pressing 6 then 2 on 03448090202. Explain to them you're within 14 day period and you want to cancel the contract and device has been paid off. Pray you don't get someone incompetent and it should be very smooth. If they try sending you to cancellations refuse as they'll just send you back again. On call to cancel third now and it's like pulling teeth out it's that painful.
No termination fees also so you wotn be charged the 19 pound.
Edit - you won't receive confirmation of cancellation until the final bill which is after the 14 day cooling off period. It also takes 24-48 hours to process. I will call them up tomorrow to confirm it's been done just to be sure and update evryone here. (edited)
For the cashback:
- For the order number, I used the one of the format "ms-123456..."
- For the order confirmation, I printed to PDF copy of the email titled "We've received your order. You're all set. (...)"
- Used £349 as the purchase price
- For the IMEI, I used a picture of the phone on the *#06# screen
This was approved within a couple of minutes of submitting the cashback application.
For the cancellation:
- Called 0344 809 0202 during the morning (10-11am). <10 min wait time.
- "I'd like to cancel my airtime plan within the 14-day cooling off period".
- If they mentioned the phone I just said it was already paid off, and wasn't tied to the SIM which was a monthly rolling contract.
- Asked them to confirm there'd be no charges as I hadn't activated the SIM and was within the cooling off period.
- Was transferred between departments a couple of times, but didn't take too long.
- I think being friendly can make a difference with some of the advisors. If you go in too aggressive they'll think you're trying to con your way out of paying something, even though you're not.
This worked on the first attempt, and phoned back a couple of days later to confirm that it has actually been cancelled with no charges.
Good luck to others.
Hopefully this helps anyone in same situation I was in

I ordered an S23 yesterday with an S5 trade-in (any broken Samsung £100), using all the codes, for what should be £342 net (after cashback / selling Buds), then sell the S10 Lite to get down to £249 net. But your way is even cheaper, assuming O2 don't charge the first month before cancellation.
£210 net for S23FE (after cashback / selling Buds FE), then selling S10 Lite to get down to £117 net, is also super cheap. Lots of well-priced Samsung upgrade options atm. (edited)
You have a Device Plan, the 2 plans are only linked for as long as you have money left to pay on the Device Plan, you paid for your Device in full upfront, so you never really had a Device Plan. SO THERE IS NO LINK, THERE IS NO PACKAGE.
The £100 Cashback and Ear Buds is offered by Samsung directly, you logged on to samsungoffers.claims/win…-GB
so nothing to do with O2.
Therefore ignore anything about losing your Cashback, submit the Cashback Claim before you cancel your Airtime Plan, if you are a worrier. My approval came through in less than 10 mins from Samsung.
Just be polite but firm.
If you are talking to somebody who is being persistently obstructive, just hang up and call back after having a cup of tea/coffee. (edited)
Is the phone locked to O2?
Here's the timeline/email/dates of when I bought the Pixel 6a back in May '23, Thanks for
Collected/Bill Ready Email/Called - 18/05/2023
Didn't open the SIM at all but called from my other number (Took half an hours)
Disconnection date - 19/05/2023
Taken first bill amounting to £11 - 01/06/2023
Refunded £9.93 - 10/07/2023

I was told my contract was cancelled 2 days ago when it was not. I suspect that the agents can't actually process it properly until the first bill is generated as you are essentially not seen as a customer yet from the system's point of view, so there's nothing to cancel.
Go with the steps suggested above.
https://samsungoffers.claims/winterdeals/S23trio/en-GB/terms
Read point 9.
You have until the 25th of Jan to purchase. 25th of Jan is not the deadline for any claims.
The relevant bit for any late deliveries:
In the event of late delivery of the Participant's Promotion Product, they will be able to register and save their information in the Claim form during the Claim Period and return to complete and submit their Claim within thirty (30) days of delivery.
You do have to remember to start the form within 30 days of purchase and remember to complete it within 30 days of delivery.
Hope that makes sense
That's what it mentions on website, it's the same promotion I used earlier in month for the Buds 2 Pro

I know on my last Samsung (S21) there was an option to just enter the pin code without then pressing OK each time, that was a just a case of ticking a box when setting up etc.
However this option doesn't appear on this S23 FE model.
Go to:
Settings
Security & Privacy
Lock Screen
Screen Lock - you have to enter your PIN here
PIN
Option is in this section - Confirm PIN without tapping OK
Following are the processes :-
- Wait phone arrived
- Claim Samsung Perks (£100, Buds, Disney)
- Cancel O2 (Day 1 received phone and activate Number)
or need to wait for the Samsung Perks to arrived (i.e. the £100 + Buds) first?
But Samsung can come back to you a week or 2 later and say they need a picture of the actual serial number or IMEI from the device.
That's happened to me in the past with auto approved claims.
So you have to wait and see

Samsung is newer model compared to Poco F2 Pro. 2023 to 2020, so good for security updates.
Samsung has a better display and chipset. IP 68 water resistant, smaller body, 4k video but slightly smaller battery. Also better Antutu and Geek bench scores.
I too was tempted by the offer but decided against it as my F2 Pro is
fine for what use I have of my mobile.
Proof of Purcahse - The 'Order No: MS' is your invoice number
OR is it kind of giving 30 days notice to cancel the airtime after one month? (As in if you cancel on day 2, 3 etc you may have to pay for 2 months @£19 per month?)
Seems for UK has 2 physical and also supports e sim (edited)
One point about porting mobile numbers (whether to keep a mobile number or just close off a SIM like a lot of people will be doing with the 1 month rolling SIM offer from this thread) to be aware of, is that the earliest date that you can select to switch, I think, is usually two days ahead of the day you are submitting the request to do so. (edited)
Is this an upgrade from a standard s22. Only use my phone for internet browsing and the camera's. Thanks (edited)
Once your phone arrives (you will need the IMIE number off the box)

Looking at the two deals on here S23 FE or S22 ultra second hand … the cheaper FE brand new seems obvious choice ??? Camera important.
Someone posted this, which is very helpful to compare.
Since you are within 14 days of the cooling off period then go to customer service team by pressing 6 then 2 on 03448090202. Explain to them you're within 14 day period and you want to cancel the contract and device has been paid off.
Both the retentions team and customer service can do this for you, as "You've paid off your device in full, it's a simple form we fill out on our side" Do not let them transfer you.
