Spotted this price for the "Luko Portable Air Conditioner 5000BTU 3 in 1 Air Conditioning, Air Cooler, Dehumidifier with Fan Function, Remote Control, 24 Hour Timer & Window Venting Kit"

I ordered and for the price, I'm happy! Ordered now before the crazy prices in the summer. Everything I've found is positive, apart from the only 2 negatives I could say are it's not the quietest and the window kit isn't amazing. But, after doing research on others before buying, most are the same! Unless I want to spend double or more.. You can buy a better window kit for £5-10 on Amazon. Remote control is handy and overall I'm pleased.

We've got these in double bedrooms and they were fine during the summer.

Not very powerful. Might cool a shoebox.

Yeah I worked all that out before buying but you make a good point.

I have a hybrid car so I'm on an EV rate, getting cheaper electric at night. So I plan on mainly running in the summer overnight at my cheaper rate which would work out about 30p or so if I did 8 hours. During the day for 8 hours would be £1.29 ish similar to yourself.

For me, I'm not going to run it all the time, definitely at night in summer as I'm sick of sleepless nights, then during the day as and when. But I don't mind paying to run it if it makes working from home better or cools the house when needed

Oh does it? Odd, mine shows £12.01 before I've even put any post code in etc, I ended up paying £14 for next day. I might need to edit the delivery, I didn't think it mattered where in the UK though.

This was before I put my address in, tbf I changed my order to 2 and it was still the same delivery, I was going to just get one to try it first but as the delivery was the same I just ordered both now, same cost as one in the summer, thanks for posting.

Ah right, yes that's odd maybe their site had a meltdown because their delivery over a certain weight is based off price per 1kg of weight.. odd!

Well that's it, at that price in summer they'll be into the £200's for that spec!

Is it worth the extra for the more powerful machines?
    are these noisey?
would 1 on the landing be enough to see a difference in our bedrooms or do we need them each room?

I’ve got a 10000 btu meaco on a really hot day it will take several hours on the landing to cool all of upstairs

Do you need to vent in dehumidifier mode, or do you need to empty a container from within?

It's only 5000btu, don't expect much from it. I got a 7500btu and it takes ages to cool 4x4m room when it's really hot.
