Bought an similar BTU unit a few years back, well worth it to get through the difficult hot days (and keep my productivity up).
Good price for BTU. Good BTU for a portable unit. Decent looking remote. Output blades on top likely more durable/child resistant. It’s a shame two pipe units don’t really exist here, so to avoid negative pressure/sucking in hot outside air from elsewhere

    It's great....
    It's rubbish
    It's great
It creates more heat to keep you cool and windows open close nonsense....

Never going to know till I try one. At this price could be worth a punt.

Not sure it does anything different to placing a frozen 1.5ltr glass bottle of water in front of the fan at night.

Got the 5000 btu one recently to cool a tiny home office. Pretty noisy but seemed to cool OK. Just need to figure out how to get the hose out the window. It's too short by about 3 feet.

There’s an extension house kit 100mm with a clamp from Tool/screwfix. I would recommend getting a Window seal kit. It’s made of Canvas and has a zip to thread the hose thru and you zip it tight. Fits around the window with Velcro. 5,000 are very Poor and as you said Loud too.

Poor Chinese Generic Compressor. Ebuyer sell Mainly Refurbished Goods. and I’ve Noticed they only accept PayPal There is No Protection unlike Visa/Mastercard. BUYER BEWARE!!! Any Decent reparable company will use Visa/Mastercard. (edited)

I think you can do a card, PayPal or finance with them?

Ebuyer mainly sells new, refurb is mostly their customers return, no?

You get 180 days max with PayPal but waive section 75 rights. With visa / MasterCard (not debit), you still only get 120-180 days to do payment disputes right? (Depends on the card). Not always miles better than PayPal. Still have consumer contracts regulation 2025 too and small claims route.

Personally I think you're right, this sort of compressor based stuff I'd get on Amazon (okay return policy) or JL with 2Y at a higher price. Get better quality brands at higher prices once, instead of potentially multiple of generic versions with less warranty (and needing to re buy when they break outside of the shorter warranty).
