Yeah some branches can be quite stingy with the doner. Best solution is to tell them to give the salad separately, that way they put it in a little carrier bag.
The worst part about the kebab meat here is that it doesn't taste anything like kebab meat, which kind of defeats the point of calling it a donner kebab.
I appreciate the salad, as I love red cabbage and salad in general but the meat is insanely thinly sliced and greasy and the prices are just not enticing most of the time. GDK have really shown that if you put big televisions on the wall and put your food in a pretty package it will lead to better sales than simply selling good food. Certainly the kebabs here are far worse than even the top 3 Turkish places around me, and other than the showiness of the venue I don't really get why people would ever rave about this place.
They don’t do hot drinks which I think is ridiculous as you don’t always want a cold drink with your meal
Ermmm yes, cold drinks with hot food 100% of the time 👌
Awful food, small portions of meat and bulked up with lots salad.
Terrible staff in 4 different branches.

I saw this video on my YouTube feed the other day! Seems this guy got picked up by the algorithm, like RateMyTakeAway did. The lads I used to work with used to buy this crap and sit eating it in the work canteen. Smelt horrendous. I associate Kebabs with greasy, low quality filth so commercialising this can't be a good thing.- Lots of people hate on GDK but I like them. Reasonable value, especially with the offers and they're a lot less greasy than your average post pub kebab.
Hoping at some point O'Tacos cross the channel and we can get some French Tacos (complete with their comically large portion sizes that I made the mistake of ordering).

Agree, best kebab I've ever tasted in England. - All the kebab places near me think some shredded lettuce and ketchup is enough to be called salad, and that grease pooling at the bottom is a good thing. Bleugh. GDK does good salad and better meat than average though their prices are high. It's not the same as the donner kebab I had in Germany though, that was amazing.
Agreed and the garlic sauce gdk use is freaking amazing.

Donner is supposed to be cheap food. I guess buy 1 get 1 free is alright but this place is a rip off generally.
The entire point of a filthy doner is getting from a local.
Tried this a month or so ago when there was some offer on and tbh it was pretty awful imo, wouldn’t go back.- Ignore the negative comments, gdk is fine and does a better job and is more hygienic than the clowns at my local kebab shop.
It's good for people who like a lot of sauce because the sauce covers up the cheap donner meat. My local is 300% better and way more meat.- its should be called english scamebab not german kebab. Have lots of family in Berlin when was younger been there few times a year, (lived very close do German border anyway) and i ate propper Kebabs made by people from Turkey. Dont let them trick you out, they using poor quality meat, even dips are not comparable to real ones from Germany. Once you try good one you will see the difference.

You really missed the point..
Generally I wouldn't recommend this place because as discussed, you can get much better kebabs elsewhere for less money. However, I will very occasionally eat there when doing keto because you can get a custom doner box which is just meat and salad. Sometimes in an emergency this can be a bit of a lifesaver, particularly since more traditional kebab places are curiously reluctant to offer this.
Also, for the many stripes of people who like to order and customise their food via a screen, these places have those and I'm grateful for it. I consider it to be something of an accessibility concession given that it can be better for people who are neurodiverse and/or perhaps have an eating disorder of some description (for example, people with complex likes/dislikes due to ARFID).
Donner box is unbelievably salty.
They opened a branch in Brighton and I wanted to try it. If you are thinking of being vegetarian and in transition, their vegetable wrap (They call it Doner Kebab but doesn’t contain meat) with meat flavouring is a good option to decide.

They used to be good but have to say their app has to be one of the worst ever.
Really not user friendly at all, looks very dull and not what you’d expect from a corporate franchise.App works fine for me.

Is this offer still onAs far as I'm aware I normally check the app at midnight on Tuesday. Doesn't seem to be a specific expiration date but it may be a Ramadan thing. I remember last year they just randomly stopped doing the offer one week. Sorry couldn't be more help.
