I'm interested in what people would go for over this for under £150. I've had a 10" amazon tablet for my Mother and sideloading was a pain. I'm fine with that myself and modding, but I would prefer a regular Android one for her. The were a couple of Lenovo's I saw a while back

There's nothing that compares to this at that price. There are decent enough Android tablets under £150, but the 11 Max is massively more powerful in a quite noticeable way. Sideloading is a pain, that's why you use the Fire Toolkit. Even my mum managed it.

Why would you buy this when there is Honor Pad X9 ?
    Chz's avatar
Because it's twice as fast. So as long as it runs the apps you need, the X9 doesn't figure. FireOS isn't going to be for everyone though.

Would this be any good for school work, teams etc? And also do Amazon price match? Thanks

    No Price match

Does fire toolbox work on these or is that just for the older fire tablets? (edited)
    i_need_bargains's avatar
Yes you can but I used the following guide digitaltrends.com/mob…ct/ and managed to install Google Play Store without it. Sometimes you need to install older versions of apps from apkmirror.com to get them to work. (edited)

Think most of these are from John pye auctions but still brand new and worth getting at this price
    i_need_bargains's avatar
Yes got the 128gb version with a John Pye sticker, the box was tatty but the contents new.

I got one for £90 a few weeks ago... I used the browser method to get play store on, most Google stuff works but annoyingly some stuff doesn't...

When I have the patience I might try the tools way, but I think because of updates I might be out if luck.

Worth the money, I'm baffled why Amazon haven't invested a little bit in their store, or paid a few developers to copy the most widely used apps.

Anyone found a way to get the code to work?
    Zillah's avatar
It's one of those health service discounts that need to be activated. There are a couple of deals posted on here, notably the Google pixel fold and Nintendo switch deals have a link to activate it (edited)

I've had one for about 8 months and paid about £90 on an Amazon deal.
I installed the Google playstore on it the first day and it's been great and so much faster than my previous Fire hd10. (edited)

Just wondering where all of these cheap tablets are coming from? Legit sources?

Lots of sellers selling them for way below what Amazon are, curious about where they're getting their stock from?
    i_need_bargains's avatar
John Pye Auctions (I'd never heard of them before seeing their sticker on the box) seem to be the source. The tablets are official UK versions.
