Currys are doing the plus version for £120

john306

Yes it's about 3oz heavier than the Samsung. Probably only suitable for anyone that does weight training. ;)

Sagz

For those interested - the add version can be bought for £94.99 using the FREENEXTDAYDELIVERY code at Curry's.

For a 4 year old I'd stick with the Samsung which is a decent tablet. This one will probably be to heavy

Got the HD10 Plus, the 4gb of ram is good and great screen. Superb media machine and not finding it sluggish

trevordavies0629

That's why there are the plus versions that add 1gb - go with those if it's for more than casual use.

Denney_Masters

Hwo do they run. I got the 8 and feel it's a bit sluggish

Got the new HD10 Plus, just a few weeks back for £124, so not thinking this is a great deal, Amazon devices come down in price two or three times a year

robs1

Yes, paid £79.99 back in June. Very good tablet at that price, but agree that it seems a lot extra (too much!) for a keyboard + 365

Has anyone got a similar 10.1 for around this price ?

MrT9000

Currys never updated the delivery address. So it went to a flat with 5 people in and the person claims he hasn’t seen it although appeared very very dodgy

MrT9000

Can you get this antwheee around this price I’m just going to buy a new one it’s for my daughter

MrT9000

I put the delivery address wrong way around. Got hold of Currys who updated the address. anyway it’s been delivered today and neighbour who took it has no jbowelegde of it being delivered . Into a block of flats . Tried to speak to Currys or Royal Mail. Can’t get through to Currys . Royal Mail have to wait 24 hours. Wrote it off to buy another one and now it’s £150. It’s for my daughter she’s been promised it. At neighbours now I am enraged . Disnsusbwixnehd

£179.99 on Amazon for me???

ontheqt

Yes think it was an extra tenner or something

hi0parag

So u got personalised offer.. Kool... If I may ask, were u a you prime member when you got the offer ?

ontheqt

Amazon sent me a special offer email and was able to get ex amount free when I topped up gift card balance

Regprentice

I thought the same...but in I've seen some comments where people speculate that cheap pricing, like this or on prime day, would be an exclusion. I don't think the cheap pricing will last longer than the bank holiday, I've read the grading process for Amazon exchange is pretty slow and might be over a week.

Done this also, very easy. Extremely impressed how quick this new tab is. In chrome it renders webpages noticeably faster than my Xperia 5 mk2 phone. Haven't had a 10" tab since a galaxy tab 2 which was awful, my kids.both have 2 year old fire 8s which are pretty sluggish . Only niggle with fire toolbox was the default package for removing Amazon apps removed prime video which I actually wanted to keep. I can't add it now from any store, I suspect because it's supposed to be a core app, so I'll have to rerun toolbox to try and add back that one app or if that's not possible put all the Amazon apps back in .

I was looking at the 8” fire hd, didn’t notice this offer was for the 10”

bigalinuk

I ordered from John Lewis with ads for £94.99 and a few bits to make it £100 to get the free Google nest mini (charcoal only) using the code GOOGLE100 as previously posted in another deal.

Shaun_faetz

Is this the same one that was £75 on prime day?

kndusr19

I am unsure if you have a different set of tablets as the Fire HD 10 tablet is Full HD and the Samsung A7 lite has a lower screen resolution of being just above 720p: https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=10933&idPhone2=10881 Also the amazon tablet should be substantially faster than the Samsung: https://nanoreview.net/en/soc-compare/mediatek-helio-p60-vs-mediatek-helio-p22

I paid £70 (in £14 installments) on primeday by trading in an HD6 to get 20% + a £10 voucher. Worth seeing if the offer is still on and get your old 7s traded in to bring the cost down further. (y)

theashleysayer

Are 5 payments available for anyone? I usually do that as it’s interest free and keeps money in bank but they don’t seem to be offering during this sale

BigYin99

Looking to get the kids one of these for Xmas as their 7s are starting to get a bit laggy now. Does anyone think they’ll be cheaper than this on Black Friday? I know they were £119 prime day but was a bit too early for us to buy. Would Black Friday be a similar price to prime day?

weldermike

Put Google play on but you can only use it on your account, on the child account you can download YouTube app, which take you to there website, not perfect but the kids are ok with it.

Grumpy_Cat

£120 is a bit of a saving and my daughter can wait for it for an xmas present rather than have it for her birthday for the sake of £20 :)
