Excellent phone got mine in Bay colour months ago, deffo best Pixel I have had yet.
This is good to read - there are lots and lots of code-related comments in this thread (which is fine) but yours is the sort of comment I've been scrolling through for - very difficult to work out what people actually think of the phone!
I'm in dire need of an upgrade, but promised myself a couple of years ago whilst at a gig that the next phone I buy has to be capable of taking half-decent photos at big, dark/artificially lit arena concerts. (All my previous phones just give me bright light smudges!).
With what this is, and how new it is, I'm guessing this will fit the bill...?
Do you have any more tips or thoughts about the phone?

EE website outdated as hell, mint is out of stock, but not showing as that so when you try to checkout it fails.- Just putting another deal out there
You can get the Pixel 8 Pro in any colour under contract with CPW for £808 over the 2 years (before year % rise). Id Mobile 29.99 per month £89 up front.
There is 150 trade in on eligible devices and TopCashBack have a £90 deal too.
So as an example I get £20 for my old Samsung A8, plus 150 trade in cashback from CPW and 90 TCB which comes to £548 in total

There are even deals including earbuds that can be sold on for net gain of around £50 (edited) - Just to put some perspective on this price, the 7a launched at £449 so the 8a launch price will be at least that. This is £100 more than that.
Of course the 7a could be had for £229 yesterday.

Ordered yesterday, cancelled today. Email received asking me to send a recent utility bill and copy of passport/driving licence to them by reply to their email...err, no.They claimed in their email it was to combat fraud and protect both me and themselves; in what way does asking me to send copies of personal identification, including a passport and/or driving licence over an insecure email system, protect me?! All seems amateurish and doesn't really fill me with confidence that this is a company I should be engaging with!

Missus tried to order and it said out of stock on completion of the order. Even though it says in stock. - Beware the P8P has the hideous jittery scrolling bug. We have these at work and no fix yet from Google. Unacceptable for a flagship phone

Need 256gb reallyWouldn't be so bad if expandable storage was still a thing outside of budget phones. The current state of high-end, premium devices is sad.
Reminder: avoid buyers remorse by thinking whether you actually need such a phone. Brilliant deal, but not everyone's cup of tea. Dont look at the '£400 off' with tunnel vision.

Where are students getting all this money from? When I as a student I had to work in Lidl just to pay for accommodation and go to my mum's food. I was using a 3310 in 2009 :/Same, though I didn't even have a phone. I paid £35 a week for a screbby room and these days rents are much higher. I lived entirely off a student loan.
128gb the ones that don't sell as much as 256g for a reason.
Actually, the 128gb outsells the 256gb because it's cheaper, but don't let that influence your bold statement
