Personal Data is Optional
You can create a Windscribe account without sharing a shred of your personal information. We don't collect any identifying data: you don't have to provide us a name or email address, and you can pay us with crypto to ensure your anonymity. Together we can ensure that all of your identifying information remains yours, and yours alone.

Of course if you want to use your email address, we won't say no, and we guarantee that the only thing your information will be used for is hilarious emails, newsletter updates and give the ability to reset your password if you forget it. We believe the only right way to make money is to make it by creating a product that is so good, you actually want to pay for it. Therefore, we will never sell the information you willingly provide us to anyone, under any circumstances.

No Tracking
The Windscribe website does not contain any 3rd party analytics, tracking pixels, A/B test platforms, or social widgets. That means that when you visit our website, you can be absolutely positive that your activity does not leak out to any 3rd party data harvesting platforms. We wish we could say the same about the majority of other VPN providers. But we can't. So we won't.

Self Hosted
When you use our service you will not directly interact with any cloud hosted tools, or clouds in general. We self host all the software we use, on single tenant dedicated machines we either own or lease from reputable hosting providers.

No Bull Poop
A VPN is not a magic privacy button powered by "military grade encryption". A VPN alone will actually do very little for your privacy, and is just one of several tools that you should have in your toolbelt. The other being our browser extensions, which are jam-packed with additional privacy features that go above and beyond of what's available from any other VPN company.

Total Transparency
We don't have a traditional marketing department staffed with snake oil salesmen. We have a real-time Transparency Report, which provides you with a real time feed of data requests we receive. If we make a mistake, we tell you about it, even though it would have been very easy not to. Virtually all of our client software is open source, so you can validate any claim we make yourself.

Features

  • Infinite Protection
  • Unlock All Locations - Over 69 Countries and 112 Cities
  • Config Generator - OpenVPN, IKEv2, WireGuard
  • R.O.B.E.R.T - Blocks Ads, Trackers and Malware

For those wondering about the speeds:
52386252-ozAZS.jpg52386252-upOaw.jpgFirst one is Windscribe and the second is Nord. Pretty insane speeds considering how cheap Windscribe is
    fohens's avatar
It would be more beneficial to see single thread performance.

    How many devices? Any guesses?
    rcom's avatar
"You can use Windscribe on all your personal devices without any issues. But please keep in mind that the Windscribe service is strictly for personal use, so make sure those devices are yours and you are not using the service in any sort of datacenter environment or using it for commercial purposes. No one has 30 personal computers that all need a VPN enabled simultaneously or 25 phones that all need a VPN connection at the same time. This sort of extreme use will almost always get your account banned."

No clear number but as many as you reasonably need for personal use, just don't take the pi** or you'll get banned.

is this any good for sky tv when out of uk? also speed and number of servers. thanks
    barryhotman's avatar
Works perfectly for sky. Use the various windflix servers (there are 4, UK, US, CA & JP) for streaming services like Sky, BBC and Netflix and they automatically renew the IP address if it gets flagged by one of those services. Very little if any downtime experienced throughout the EU for me
  4. atif_mahmood's avatar
Does it bypass isp block on IPTV during games?
    Yoshi123's avatar
Should do as ISP doesn't know what traffic is going through (edited)

I had a subscription until Nov 2026, got this and it stacked to 2027. Wonder if you can do this multiple times...
    barryhotman's avatar
You don't need to stack it. It will auto renew at the same price if you don't cancel beforehand.

I have an active pro subscription until 7th April, however when I go to add this it states I have a current pro subscription and won’t process any. I paid $39 last year for this so at this rate it’s a bargain.

Any ideas on how to add this? If I cancel will it still run up to 9th April?
    jimbobgooner's avatar
yes cancel then add the code your sub will then last until April 25 (edited)

Anyone have issues in getting it to work on a firestick?
    vassy4u's avatar
Finally got it working. I have to change the connection type to manual and go with wireguard.

Had anyone tried it with Peacock for watching PL matches? The free version of Windscribe is awful with constant buffering making it unwatchable (edited)
    OhTheMajesty's avatar
I haven't tried a PL match, but streaming a movie with free Peacock works fine

Is it possible to use the code on the app so I can pay using Google play balance?

I've got the code accepted on the website and the website shows the discounted price but the app shows full price.

    jon67's avatar
Just tried the Indian server and getting around 200 mbps.
  13. laperlenoire's avatar
My router does not support OpenVPN but only PPTP and L2TP. Any idea how to configure the router ? Thanks.
    AamirQuazi's avatar
Short answer you cant with windscribe
    windscribe.com/kno…ls/

even openvpn is outdated - should be looking at wireguard.
  14. Bigpapa_H's avatar
Good price and handy to have if you need to do something quick, but god awful speed throttling, dropping from 600mbps to 60 tops, tried multiple locations, just something to bare in mind

Took a punt on this and so far it seems a good service. Certainly better than Ivacy who I was with before
  17. wyabcp's avatar
Cool, is there a download limit?
    rcom's avatar
On this Pro plan, there are no visible traffic limits. People on Reddit say they torrent in the high hundreds of Gigabytes a month without issue.

Anyone had any issues with Disney + using windscribe?
    phatbear's avatar
    Currently working fine in Vietnam

Ok it does work but had to use India servers
  20. bas613357's avatar
How to terminate the current location ? And also asks for the authentication information and despite entering them still not working. Still showing the exact location and provider
    bas613357's avatar
It’s working now after a few attempts and reinstalling the app. Apparently it takes sometime to switch location.
  21. AlinDan_Campan's avatar
How do I stack it as I’ve already got membership
    iwannamotorbike's avatar
Help! - same question. When I'm signed in and try to enter the code the price reduces but the message 'You already have a subscription' appears. Don't want to have to cancel my current sub. Any advice welcomed. Thanks
  22. Roboj0's avatar
Hmm not impressed but not bothered at this cost. Have PIA (expires Oct) which is still getting better speeds. Played with Windscribe connection protocols but it still can't beat PIA using wireguard. I've cancelled Windscribe renewal already. I'll also be waiting for a decent Surfshark offer as it's always been the fastest for me out of this, PIA and IPvanish. (edited)
  23. Willy_Wonka's avatar
Unfortunately I couldn't get a connection faster than 20Mbps so I cancelled. It might have been my side but couldn't be bothered.
    rcom's avatar
From which location? I just tried a random location and ended up with Zurich, got 751Mbps down.
  24. 2ToneGuy's avatar
Only downside no split tunneling on the FS app
    bigbarb's avatar
Try in the connection settings lets you choose what apps you would like to use the vpn for.

How strict are Windscribe on their account sharing rule? For the past 2 years I've had my Surfshark account logged into the nighbours firestick for their IPTV and never had an issue. If I switch to Windscribe I'll do the same but wouldn't want to get banned if I do. I'm going to assume they're talking about sharing on a large scale but if anyone has any experience with sharing an account, any issues?
    JJM92's avatar

Does this work for signing up YouTube premium?
    jon67's avatar
My son tried to sign up to youtube premium yesterday with Windscribe using an Indian server and Revolut card.
The transaction failed at the payment stage. He then received an email to verify the Indian address entered with a valid document within 10 days or his google account would be suspended! (edited)
