Awful software... I've had to remove it from a number of PCs as it's made them unusable.

Weird. Never known of any performance issues

AV Comparatives product of the year. They claim performance is fine.

Used this years back as it came free with barclays i think, made computers slow and unstable and removed and never went back

You don't need this. Most hacking/scamming is done via people actually letting others access their PC remotely, and that instantly renders any protection like this redundant.

Far better off just changing your DNS provider and enabling Malware protection on that. Safing Portmaster. Control-D, OpenDNS, Quad9, Adguard etc. Use Ublock Origin extension on your browsers. If you have old folks that need protection or people with learning difficulties etc, or just plain not computer savvy. The best thing you can do is educate them.

Also use an autobackup system with versioning Dropbox, BackBlaze, Crashplan etc

As I said no point in these anti-virus software suites.

Change DNS. Usually need to make an account to enable Malware and other content blocking. Cloudflare for example can protect against Email phishing cloudflare.com/en-…es/
Use Ublock Origin on every browser.
Pay for an autobackup with versioning.
Educate users for trending scams and scams in general.

Unnecessary and will grind your machine into the ground. Avoid.

I still use Kaspersky. Very effective and never had a problem on my PC since I started using it.

I always used Kaspersky before the Ukraine Special Military Operation started. I always found it easy to use and reliable.
However since the Russian invasion of the Ukraine, I too suddenly had a ideological and security epiphany and I switched to Bit Defender which to be honest I don't like and I find a bit clunky.

Saying that, this is a really good price for 2 years/10 devices AV.

Used to be a big fan of Kaspersky but kept getting messages saying they needed to share my information with third parties. Actually read the policy and was no longer happy with it. Actually switched mid contract.

roots is obviously a huge kaspersky fan, going to the effort of laughing at anyone criticising the software.

All the criticism here is either inaccurate/false/made up.

Not sure why some are banging the anti Russian drum when it's not some 1950's Soviet developed program.
BTW the Premium version with the unlimited VPN bundled in works fine, fast and represents excellent value if you can find a deal.

How is the Kaspersky unlimited VPN ? Thanks in advance.
