About this deal

Cheapest I have seen these speakers in this colour combination. Made in France, these get decent reviews and have a very unique look and finish! Launched at over £1000. £1099 here. Would be a nice combination with the Audiolab Omnia here.

Key Features and Specifications

The Chora 816 model is a 2.5-way bass-reflex floorstanding loudspeaker. Its woofer and midrange/bass speaker driver, both equipped with the Slatefiber cone, work in perfect harmony for a voluptuous sound reproduction and a perfect bass impact. The sound finds its full dimension in your listening room, with a dynamic midrange and remarkable power handling. A front port is placed below the loudspeaker to reduce distortion and, thanks to the tilt of the loudspeaker stand, Time Alignment provides a soundstage focused on the listener.

After buying some decently expensive and well reviewed focal car speakers and being dissapointed many years ago, I don't really think you'll get Focal's best audio quality unless you're buying their top end speakers. I feel as though there may be better value for money speakers from other brands. I could be wrong about these though, my experience is only with their car audio speakers.

I bought some mid range Focal 5 1/4 inch co axials for the rear door speakers of my daddy wagon zafira. They are Amped by a decent Alpine Amp and sound phenominal for their size and aweful vauxhal positioning. For my home system though. I have Elac 248 floor standers and a Musical Fidelity Valve pre Amp/ Dual Monoblock power amp set up. If I ever have to change the Elacs, I'd happily audition some Focals
