I have this cleaner, it was quickly demoted to upstairs cleaning duty and a better, lidar equipped replacement was bought for cleaning downstairs. It just bounces around and is generally quite crap, spend another few quid and get something that's actually good at its job

I agree, I wouldn't spend without LiDAR now, also exciting on companies print a proper plastic reusable bin in instead of having to buy their dust bags and create excess waste

Doesn't look like it has LIDAR so not even worth this price. These ones just bump into things randomly, change direction and hope for the best.

Bought a Lubulue (I think that's the name) around this price with LIDAR without the self-emptying dock as a gift and they are extremely pleased with it. Self-emptying is a nice bonus, but doesn't make nearly as big a difference as LIDAR (edited)

    Yup agreed. They are terrible

Eufy devices recorded video of users without permission while lying about it. I would not trust them in the home if you value privacy.

I don't think this is unique to Eufy, and the exposure that Eufy had probably makes them one of the more trustworthy now.
Anyway, this cleaner has no video camera.

These have got to be the worst robot cleaners on the market. Always getting stuck, terrible battery life, poor cleaning. The list goes on! I'd buy a 15 year old Roomba before spending a penny on these!

I've just replaced a Eufy 30 with an upgraded Eufy with room mapping. The 30 is really excellent, does a fine job of cleaning, no problem with battery (and if there was they just go back and charge themselves), and the getting stuck thing just gets addressed for next time. The only reason I upgraded was to get the room mapping functionality and the good experience was the reason I stayed on brand. I would 100% recommend these.

We got one last week for our downstairs. All hard flooring, 3 kids, plenty of rugs and chairs etc. Takes about 80 minutes to do 70sqm. We haven’t had to manually vacuum for an over week and it hasn’t got stuck once. Pretty impressed! Not sure what else you would need personally.

Lidar so it doesn't hit things and take 80 mins tbh

Hi question for op. Where you said it's brand new, does it say so on the box or is that just assumed from the condition it came in? Just wondering if it's possible to verify it's definitely brand new or refurbished because regardless of condition I think I would rather pay more for a confirmed brand new item as it will probably last longer. Saying that if it's being sold as refurbished then I could still end up getting one that's refurbished even if you definitely got a new one and I don't suppose I would have much come back from that because they would just say it's still sold as described. Arrgh dunno what to do. Saw this just before Easter nearly bought it and then it went out of stock. Snooze and lose I suppose.

Renewed are never brand new, sealed. They may be customer return with very little use. Or faulty products, used very little and repaired. My renewed laptop had 4 hours of usage. Of course, it looked brand new and, in a sense, was new, but still not sealed.

Renewed should be in the title.

Anyone got any thoughts on the Ecovacs N8+ (with station)? Only £169 at the moment on amazon, but seems that ecovacs deals are not allowed on HUKD so can't post it.
    parabootz's avatar
I've got an N8 without the station, it's a decent robot, ecovacs have good build quality, software can be a little flaky, sometimes loses the map which is highly annoying. Overall happy with it, my main problem is 3 girls with long hair I need to untangle the roller twice a week. Can't tell you what the station is like, but bargain for 170, would definitely buy.

Aren't these basically just like owning a small cat, eats all the scraps and acts a trip hazard?

Nope. I love my deebot, I set to clean twice a week while I'm at work. One of the best tech I have ever bought

I have a eufy robovac and absolutely love it, it works well for me. Never had any issues, great for hard surface and cleans carpeted area well too but the floor has to be clear of obstacles or else it will keep bouncing about using its sensors to avoid obstacles.

Has the price changed ? As it’s come up as £199
