Note that this receiver does not support Dolby Atmos or DTS:X sound formats. On the plus side, it does support 4K/120Hz, 8K/60Hz along with Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Great price for a very good receiver. (edited)

I am invested in the Yamaha music cast system. Some what to my suprise because I thought they were letting it die out Yamaha recently updated the musiccast app so it is much better than it was. I am sorely tempted by this. I have their combined CD /amp in this system which is great but I have to run my TV input via a rats nest of wires and converters because there is only a jack input spare once I have plugged in the vinyl deck. But it doesn't have CD player so that would make it six of one etc. very good deal indeed though.

I have the V6A which I think is great. But some users experience issues with particular TV and eARC compatibility. I you are interested, you could head over to the owner section on AVForums Not sure if there is a preamp for phono.

    Haven't had a look a the app in a while - I might have a look now..

Is this one of the models with the low bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports?

I don't think so given it can support 8k video

I’ve got the v6a and it’s really good. Has front rca out which is great for this price point, so can use my home audio system to power my fronts and lets me use my 2ch audio system for music.

Musiccast is a nightmare, don't do it to yourselves.

Bear in mind that returns to Amazon.de have to be sent to Slovakia and you have to pay the return postage (and are therefore liable for the safety of the parcel in transit) and claim it back afterwards. When you request the return, Amazon will advise of the shipping amount they are willing to refund and for large/heavy and expensive items it will almost certainly not be anywhere near the actual cost, so expect to have to argue with CS for more. You'll also be at the mercy of the customs process which Amazon wont engage with, so if there's any discrepancy in the paperwork or customs charges, Amazon SK will simply refuse the parcel and it will be returned to you. I personally wouldn't buy anything this large or expensive from them again as it's been a total nightmare to return it every time. (edited)
