About this deal

Cheapest I've ever seen the pair of 4.5s posted on HUKD in my time.
Only a bit more than the 3.5s.

If these are anywhere near as bad as the 3.5's, these should absolutely NOT be used for monitoring purposes. The 3.5 gen are anything but neutral:

Expecting top class level, neutral monitoring from a pair of studio monitors that you can get for sub £150 is a bit unrealistic. They aren't bad, they can still sound good, and they absolutely still have their uses, even for monitoring. If you're doing any kind of professional level recording work, you are obviously not buying these in the first place. And anybody doing recording should be testing against multiple output types anyways, like a decent pair of headphones. Better monitors make this stuff easier, but they aren't strictly required to get a decent enough result.

These are absolutely great value. (edited)

I presume the 4 1/2 inch refers to the woofer size.
Otherwise they aren't compact, they're tiny!

Well, if it referred to the tweeter size they'd be huge.

Didn't realise these weren't the BT version (which I have) the Bluetooth is a worthy upgrade imo

They've been under £90 before but that was before all the crazy inflation. Still well worth £110, i'd gladly get another pair..

I bought these (bluetooth version) for my kitchen for music and they sound fine, the bluetooth on them sucks though.

But since they are monitors, i think the sound reproduction on them is technically excellent, but this seems to make music sound... average compared to my soundcore boom bluetooth speaker... is there anything i need to do to make music sound better on them, is it just equalisation?

If you cant tell i know nothing about speakers, like I have no idea if they need a subwoofer or something lol (edited)

These are the regular, not the BT (Bluetooth) model.
I'm sure somebody could still comment on the Bluetooth though, just letting you know about the model.
