    Thanks op, ordered.

Anyone know of any good offers on drill and screwdriver bits to compliment this?

Edit: Einhell on Ebay, with the same code, do the 39 piece set for just under £20. Bought.

Out of bed less than two hours, didn't know I really needed a fancy drill.... but hey. (edited)

If anyone else is loking for a great bit set, I have had loads of different ones over the years but this is the best I've found so far:

A good deal, but don't trust the £187.44 RRP on eBay.

Amazon sell at £60.99 (seller is Einhell Direct).

Sounds like a German cult. Ein - one, hell - light. One Light.

I have a similar older version model of this, and used it for several years. Have not found anything it cannot tackle in the normal DIY home user list of jobs about the house. Not as light weight as my other Workzone drill , but that doesn`t have the hammer action facility. The older model I have, has a screw in handle and what appears to be a "different" intelligent charger. Also it came in a blown plastic case when purchased from Wickes. If this is the newer version of the one I have, then I can recommend it for home DIY projects.

Will it drill into brick for small stuff like security cameras or brackets for hanging baskets, that sort of stuff?

Edit: Thanks for the replies, ordered. (edited)

Good deal, especially with the battery starter kit. That’s probably worth 30 quid alone

I have this, it's good; and the bag is now crammed full of Einhell bits and other accessories. Heat.

Its reviewed on Amsazon. Take a gander if you want further info. 44Nm of torque is good enough for most diy jobs. Bought bare tool recently having collected lots of batteries and chargers when Homebase were selling them for pence as they changed ranges. Have used Ryobi for years but now collecting Einhell inc sds drill with battery and charger for £49.99 from recent post on here. Decent diy tools and half the price of most.

I'm still looking for a deal on a right angled drill for work but they rarely come up.

quality of einhell generally has been poor. I've got a few different tools that have had to be returned over the years. That said, the drill is the only one that I have complete confidence in. Performs really well for all jobs tackled and longest lasting of the lot. Batteries go in hundreds of different tools and while the quality may be poor, price point is at least reflective of it.

Einhell is just an importer of Chinese tools, quality will be dictated by the Chinese factory that designs, engineers, manufactures and certifies the product itself. So Einhell doesn't really represent a quality level in itself. I'd say they are ok though on average. I think Einhell are also the importer for Parkside tools for Lidl or at least some of them. So would probably view Parkside and Einhell as similar quality and probably for some products identical quality. Nowadays a lot of German products are pretty naff like many of their cars so personally if I was an importer I'd be doing a fake Japanese brand rather than German. German branding actually puts me off.

I’ve been using some Einhell tools and pleasantly surprised by the quality / price ratio. Better quality than I was expecting and they’ve got some decent tools in the range powertoolworld.co.uk/bra…ell

Great drill. I got it when it was around £60 with the hard case. Worth it for basic DIY.

Found this when I was doing research... This ain't an Einhell. I think I need to report this, it's fraud

Been putting up with a cheap crappy drill I’ve had for years. This should be a decent upgrade for the odd DIY job. Heat added.

Well Mercedes f1 team use these. I always notice it when they’re building the cars in the pit garage. So they can’t be that bad

or this bosch 12v set? which is better - or is it literally - do you want power vs smaller size?

The same question here. I was tempted with Bosch due to small size. However went for power with Einhell. Hopefully I won't regret !
