4gb ram - absolutely avoid, even at this price. This low amount of ram doesn't belong in 2024. Your device will be considerably slow after just a few tabs/apps open.

Any recommendation for a device with more ram?

Is that only for new customers?

Tempted but only has roughly 11 months of support left from Lenovo for security updates.

I love android but this is its biggest issue. So many devices only get 2-3 years of updates then they are unsupported which makes using them online riskier and riskier as time passes due to unpatched vulnerabilities.

Almost all online aspects of Android devices leverage the built in Android System WebView which is updated independently of the operating system, along with Project Mainline that updates some of the most at risk components of the OS like the multimedia decoders, using Android devices after the manufacturer OS updates have stopped is safe, if it wasn't we would know about it by now with how long Android has been out

Do these come in their box?
    justabout72's avatar
You’ve selected: Brand New A phone that has never, ever been used. Sealed in the original, unopened, box. 24-months’ warranty, free

I assuming if they do a diagnostic test then not going to receive a sealed box?

ewaste, 4gb on an android device is not a fun experience at all, this also won't be supported for much longer
  8. Jimboh's avatar
I gave one of these away because it was so slow. Not a fun experience.

    I'm getting £105.99 delivered.
    EugeneVictorTooms's avatar
It's been a while and I STILL don't like that delivery is separated out like this, I get caught quite often

Would this be any good for kids games like Roblox/ Minecraft and YouTube etc
    shappinbegs's avatar
YouTube, Roblox and and kids stuff definitely. Just make sure you sign the kids into their own account and you can manage the tablet via the 'Family Link' parental controls

Edit: also a tempered glass screen protector and one of those kids cases is a must for under 7s (edited)

I didn't think anybody still used tablets. Is this still 2010?
    zedzedUK's avatar
What are you talking about?? Apple alone sold 500 million ipads between 2010 and 2020. Of course phones have got bigger over this time period, but for a lot of people there's a difference between watching something or using a website on a 6-7 inch device vs. a 10-12 inch device. i.e. there is still a good reason to buy a tablet, even if sales have dropped somewhat since the "peak days".

As others have said 4gb = useless stuttering experience doing basic stuff.

    Good price in 2024.
  14. newbie68's avatar
I wouldn't touch this at all - opening it to do a diagnostics check - yea right. No one should be opening a sealed factory unit - this is crazy and many here don't seem to mind at all
    Umair_Ahmad's avatar
I just read this now and I bought two yesterday
  15. wolvesinwales's avatar
I think they copy and paste a bit too much...... Includes a sim removal tool. Free diagnostics check ... its new !

Gps? Was wondering to use on bike

Decent basic tablet. Good for browsing, media and the odd basic game.

Been looking at this and the m8 recently but then saw the DooGee T10S on Amazon and the specs put this to shame (obvs a no name brand...but they all started somewhere!)
    pasheast's avatar
The DooGee T10S is a phone, this Lenovo is a tablet.

    This or Honor Pad X9?
    reckoning's avatar
They're both great, this for the screen.

This or the Samsung Galaxy A9 for £95?
    pannan's avatar
do u want a phone or a tablet?
  22. Rich_Behague's avatar
Can't buy it now, only put in an offer....I've put £92 as it said somewhere that was the last accepted amount? Will wait and see
    MrC8880's avatar
I just did the same. £92 gang waiting for acceptance
  23. Heetz55's avatar
Hi. Great price for 10" tablet. We bought it from Very for £90 using 20% off code at the time.
  24. tearex's avatar
So they're new and they're goong to open them and do a 90-point diagnostics check? What rubbish, why do they write things like that
