Community Updates
If you are currently with Lebara, have fewer than 4 SIMs to the same email address, want to use this plan and still want keep your current number (eventually), here are the porting steps as per my previous comment:
buy this plan (wait and get a new Lebara SIM, keep safe for later)
request for a PAC code from your existing Lebara plan
get a free alternate provider SIM (e.g.: ASDA PAYG SIM, or Three PAYG SIM) (I've been told, but have not tried it myself, that Three have eSIM option during checkout process too!)
submit the PAC to the alternate provider, to move your number from Lebara to another provider
once the number has ported to the alternate provider, wait 1 day for the number to fully register on their system
ask for a PAC from this alternate provider
provide this PAC to Lebara (via this Lebara form, or web chat, or call Lebara's customer services), to move the number from alternate provider to Lebara (this new plan).

It costs Lebara about £8 to make a sim in a dustless environment and distribute. A double cheeseburger is £2.29.
And you expect stunning internet for 99p/month.
Oh dear
Yeah I can't complain , it's usually faster
I don't get 5g with mine in Leeds, also speeds are generally crap. But it is cheap so...
uses Vodafone , same with any network depends on area I get 200mb+ most times birmingham
Being on the Vodafone network ⛔doesn't imply that Lebara users have the same priority as Vodafone users in the infrastructure.💉 Bandwidth is allocated primarily to Vodafone subscribers, with any remaining capacity shared among others. Lebara users receive lower priority and service levels compared to Vodafone users in the same network (edited)
What Vodafone has bandwidth, answers the phone and can solve problems, gee that’s something new! There network in NI is crap!
Can this be cancelled after the first month?
Author
I believe yes. There is no monthly contract.
I’m finding the Lebara data is used much quicker than Vodafone or giffgaff . I have not changed our phone use . I think I’ve worked out why . On my account Lebara state megabytes used, not kilobytes. It only seems to register megabyte as the minimum data used. My husband moved from giffgaff and myself from Voda . We have more data or same amount as before but now we run out now we’re on Lebara. Has anyone else found this? I’m sure it’s the fact that our accounts don’t register Kb and that the minimum data used is per Mb . I’m setting a counter on phone data use to confirm if amounts don’t tally. Has anyone else done this already?
im not noticing any difference, from checking data used in phone or Lebara app (edited)
Can i get a SIM today over the counter and activate this plan on it without the need for Lebara to post?
No the sim has to be preloaded with the offer and you can't use a retail SIM.
Does the plan start when you activate or from order, tia.
From activation.
My current smarty deal payment is due in 13 days, if I get a lebara ordered today is it active from today or do I activate when I need it (13 days time)
It is activated when you put it into your phone.
Got this a week or so ago for 99p for 6 months - still great value but not quite as cheap.
98p if you use chase as payment with 1% Cashback 👌
I wonder when is lycamobile coming to beat this offer
lycamobile is pretty poor these days. they have worsened, just like lebara, but lebara is still useable for now.
It’s annoying that you have to port out after the 6 months and go on a payg for a few days to then port back for the next £1-£2 6 month offer
Don't mind porting in and out but it's the fear of losing my number that I cannot afford to do.
This company messed up my number port. It’s been 48 hours and they still cannot sort it! My honest advice, go to a proper network.
Unlucky went flawlessly for me I ported over few times now , I selected the date and within few hours on the day it transferred (edited)
I would be very careful about getting this. I switched from Vodafone to Lebara and it was properly awful in London. Constant dropouts, or just total loss of connection. It may run on Vodafone, but Vodafone it is not
That's a UK infrastructure issue - works wonderfully for me in the EU
Actually regret leaving Smarty. Signal is terrible. Will put up with it for another 4 months
Signal isn't great, especially call signal.
Hi all, I have switched Lebara sims a few times very successfully porting in and out. The problem I seem to be having now, is finding a free sim provider who does not require a top up before porting the number. I have tried Three, Vodafone, , Tesco Mobile, Giffgaff, VOXI, and Lyca Mobile but all want a top up first. Can anyone suggest another way of doing it or a free sim they have used in the last week or so. I am going to try EE and ASDA tomorrow.
Thanks in advance!!
I've done it with Asda in the past

Honestly don't be intimidated it is really really easy. To bring your current phone over you have to port it to do so you need a PAC code. 1. Order the sim card on the provider you want to move to.
2. On your current SIM that you want to keep the number text PAC to 65075. The system will give you your PAC code and it stays valid 30 days. 3. Activate the new SIM and give the PAC code to your new provider if it is Lebara use that page lebara.co.uk/en/…tml 4. Within 2 working days your old number will be transferred to your new provider. Dead easy, that was made to boost competition and not trap consumers with the fear of them losing their numbers.
Can this be used in a router?
Yes
Do you guys know if Lebara does actually work with WIFI Calling ??
I did a USwitch to LycaMobile, but i think i am some 30day Pay as you go Plan, so last i heard, "pay as you go plans" dont support Wifi calling (am using an S21 Samsung)......... I dont get a phone signal in work, and wifi calling defo dont work
They do WiFiCalling, works fine in an S22 so no reason your S21 won’t.
Can someone please explain how to get the iMessage / Facetime working after portin-in? I do not understand. Also, do I need to change the internet apn settings to lebara instead of vodafone?
Why a sim card from them doesn't come with their settings preset?
Just disable iMessage/facetime and then enable it again. Should pop up and ask you if it’s ok to send a conf text and then enable your number as a valid address.
The APN settings will be fine for UK but you may run into trouble roaming. I hadn’t set them on my daughter’s phone and her data wouldn’t work until I did. It only takes a minute, uname/pwd will already be set as wap. (edited)
Hi all. I'm with Lebara at the moment. I'm thinking to port out and port back in in order to keep my number.
Is it as easy as ordering an Asda sim, giving them my pac code to port out, and then do the same to port back onto the new Lebara sim?
Does anyone know if there's any time restrictions on porting numbers, ie within a certaoin time of requesting PAC or having to stay with the new provider for some time before requesting the PAC?
Also can the number be ported to an account in a different name than the original account?
Follow the steps within my "Community Updates" comment, which is just below the deal information.
Time restriction on porting numbers ... PAC are valid for 30 days, but don't leave it until the 28th day to use any PAC.
Having to stay with new provider ... give your new provider at least 24 hours before requesting a PAC to port back out again.
Number porting is just for the mobile phone number, so yes, it does not matter about the account holder name(s).
Can i use this for 1 month and then cancel my direct debit? I only need it temporarily until i find a better 12m deal
I’d be interested in anything you find. Doesn’t get much cheaper than this
Good, but bit disappointing is 5 months now and not 6
Missed the 99p deal for six months What are the chances of it coming back?
It's been 1p, 49p, 99p, £1, £1.99 and now £1.49 so could be anything in the future.
I hope the reduction to 5 months doesn't become a permanent thing.
If they have any nowse about them, they would do 3 months to stop people like us doing the port dance every 6 months
It’s a bit of hit and miss. There’s a patch near my place where the network always cuts out, but for my 99c plan I can live with it.
I just recently joined Lebara and I ordered two Sim cards on the 99p for six months promotion. The only issue is that the Sim card didn’t come quick enough, but I don’t think that was Lebara’s fault. I have spoken to their agents a number of times, and actually they are usually really helpful, you don’t have to wait long to get through and I am currently using the plan out in Rhodes and it is not too bad. Sat in my hotel room at the moment and it doesn’t have Wi-Fi and browsing HUKD.
For £0.99 a month I think it’s great. as I said the only issue for me is that the Sim card didn’t come fast enough. When I called Lebara, they suggested that I buy a Sim card from the local shop (which cost me 99p) and then I was able to do a sim swap. It worked wonders.
I’d actually ordered a different sim from them off Uswitch the week before (£2.78 for 3 months). They easily cancelled thjs plan for me and refunded it (although I am still waiting for the refund but it has only been a few days).
If the sim is ordered before 15:00, it normally arrives next day.
Superb deal - I am currently on the £1 for 15GB data with unlimited texts and calls six month deal. This is my current speed right now whilst roaming in a remote country side area in Hungary. It shows a 4G+ signal. 52Mbps download & 12Mbps upload. Truly amazing - voted very hot.
Used to work in my laptop, but seems they've blocked it during the last few months.
How can they do that?
Was gonna get this but went for talkmobile 50gb for 7.95pm. Still great though
I was about to order the talkmobile myself. How are you finding it?
Currently with ID mobile. Shocking service in my area. 3 people i know in my family in my area all have the same issues, call drops every single time. This Lebara deal seems good!
Thanks for the post. Had one month left on a £1.90 15GB. Cancelled that and went for this 🏻 (edited)
Shocked by people having negative experiences , my partner got a Lebara SIM earlier this year on a different deal. The port failed but this was due to her previous provider ( BT mobile ). They did chase for her and help sort this out. She's had no problem with connection or download speeds and often gets 5g including at home. Obviously connection depends on your location coverage , we're in Nottingham . Roaming in Europe is an added bonus but of course not unlimited.
In our experience and opinion it's been good value for money.
Moved to this from O2, already regretting it. Should have taken a little more time to look at the small print, only good thing it is a Monthly rolling contract so will be easy to move if I find a better deal. If you use 03 numbers on a regularly basis it will cost you as they are not included like the big companies are. Good for light use only. Not recommended.
i can call 03 numbers
Does Lebara support WiFi calling and volte calling? I am on a OnePlus 12. My spusu SIM shows volte and WiFi calling options and I see the icons pop up in the status bar.
I only see WiFi calling option for Lebara and don't see WiFi calling or volte calling show up in status bar. I did get an email from Lebara that is supported, when I activated the SIM.
What happens after 5 months ?
goes up to £7.90 pm as shown in the pic as you see this is crossed out in the pic
Can all 15GB be used for roaming?
Author
Not sure about roaming. You need to check while on final check-out. Thanks.
Thanks
I currently have a lebara sim for my son and its offer has ended and now up to about £7 pm. What do I need to do to get this?
If you want to keep his number, you'd have to port out to another provider, I use Three and port back in to Lebara.
Need this in June 🤞
Thank you, I am with Lebara but need more data, so I will look into porting out and back in again.
Speak to them and they will put you on another deal.
I've ordered Lebara sims for the family on the previous offer and am waiting for them to arrive. I notice that Vodafone has a rewards app called VeryMe. Does anyone know if you can use the Lebara sim/number to get the Vodafone rewards? Thanks
I very much doubt it as the number doesn't get recognised as a Vodafone number.
