sorted byOr does it get around the rules by being a mountain bike and therefore not used on public roads/spaces?
"Motor: Specialized 2.0, 70Nm torque, custom tuned motor, 250W nominal"
Also this is a pedal assist and legal on UK roads.
"seamless pedal assistance and long lasting-battery life"
A lot of bike for your money
Unfortunately, specialized are theft magnets. True of any high end bike tbh, but don't cheap out on locks and think about how you're going to store it before you buy.
It can also sends an alarm to your phone, but in my opinion that could lead to a dangerous confrontation.
There's a wider selection of sizes available at Balfe's Bikes. Same price and with free delivery.

specialized don’t describe them as a mountain bike and instead have them under there urban/city range
couple of things seperate this from their proper Full sus mountain ebikes
Cheaper Single pivot rear suspension rather than their well known FSR 4 bar system, longer stems, steeper geometry, full length town style mud guards, and shorter travel suspension.
great for most things(towpaths, forest roads, etc), but would struggle to keep up with a proper mountain bike on mountain bike trails. (edited)
This is very much designed primarily as a commuter with the ability to take you onto the easier mountain bike trails. It seem to be if you can only afford one bike like most of us.
But the following review states that it does surprisingly well off road :-
But then the trails in the video are very dry not like muddy GB.
This is perfect! I can get it on cylescheme, I can max out on the way to work to get there in good time, I can come back and have fun through the trails. I can look to get the nipper on the back and go out with the fam at the weekend. I can go out with the mates and hit some trails. I'm not going to be taking big jumps! But I'm going to be ok charging around singletrack... Perfect...
Cheers OP, hopefully ordered....
Which Como were you comparing it to because the Turbo Como has 50Nm of torque which should also be enough? Any more then its more off road slippery/loose surface mountain bike territory rather than just hills.
If you meant the Turbo Como SL, yes that has 35Nm. So the Tero would be double the torque. (edited)
