    I've got this machine & it's great. That's a bargain at that price 🔥
    GibStudentCode's avatar
I have this as well. Do you think it's worth to get another one just to stock up on pods? Then sell it or something?
  2. JAE1's avatar
Very good deal, I bought the machine itself for £45 when it was on sale before (not including 200 pods).

I would recommend using ‘Kaffekapslan’ for cheap pods, very good quality and machine compatible

Will this machine make hot chocolate? Not a coffee person.

Regarding the coffee pods, I believe KaffeKapslen do some, but trchinically it’s meant for straight coffee dispensing, so you’d have to add your milk etc, afterwards. I would double check on the website before buying 🤷‍♂️
  4. AL1S0N's avatar
Does that mean it's £2.50 per coffee pod? That's a pretty expensive home brew
    z11's avatar
About 40p per capsule/brew here with the free machine, can then get capsules elsewhere around 20 - 30p each.

This is decent deal only thing is machine is big and chunky so no good for my tiny kitchen unfortunately

Back in September, I got this machine and 150 pods for £59, so don't think this is as good a deal as people think it is.

None of this compares to the Nespresso pods which are packed properly and deliver a drink that can't be replicated by these counterfeits

Ok so I got interested. The Lor pod doesn’t have the silicone seal round the rim, but doesn’t need it because the Lor machine has the silicone seal within it. It does use a diffuser patch in the pod (the video claimed that this is unique to nespresso)- see pic of my lor decaf pod. and I bet JDE can match nestle on grinding. So that explains why Lor tastes as good as nespresso when you use an unofficial machine. If your machine doesn’t have a seal built in then it surely won’t be as good with Lor pods.

I've had this for a few months now and it's been great, but recently I'm having to do a "water shot" (running the machine without a pod in) before adding the pod and making the coffee, otherwise the temperature of the drink is too low. This is a bit annoying.
    ilepak's avatar
I always do a “water shot” first to warm the cup up then about a minute later do a proper shot. Always comes out nice and hot

I bought this a couple of weeks ago for £89.99 with 100 free pods so this is a great deal 🏻 I love mine it’s brilliant

So what pods can this use ?
    highdon's avatar
Original Nespresso pods plus proprietary L'or XXL pods. It is not compatible with Nespresso Vertuo.

If you don't mind buying stuff that's very near its BB date, Discount Dragon often sell pods for this machine for £1.50ish.

Do think I would be able to sell the coffee pads?
    JAE1's avatar
You might be able to sell the pods on afterwards on EBay, I’m not too sure but a quick search would tell you if it’s popular to get rid off or not
  13. Amz1111111's avatar
Does this work with original nesspresso pods?
    fastclau's avatar
    Yes...it does
  14. Squiddley's avatar
I order 3rd party ones from here kaffekapslen.co.uk/

They are good but delivery can take a while so plan ahead 🏻
  15. buddn07's avatar
Do the Caffe Nero pods work with this machine?
    Amz1111111's avatar
    Yes they do
  16. Hexadecima1's avatar
Got mine. Just FYI the used by dates on the pods. About 20 expiry in July (ones in box). 100 in November and the other 100 around Jan/Feb.
  17. JoeyPants's avatar
It now says £89 with 100 capsules.
  18. fire_belly's avatar
Didn’t need it but I just couldn’t resist. Thanks for sharing!
    Intrepidity's avatar
I'll give you £10 for it
  19. Blackhorse's avatar
    Thanks for posting
£8.54 has tracked with TCB within minutes
Will be well happy for a machine and 200 pods for little over 70 quid
    Hexadecima1's avatar
    I only got £6.91 although I think I'll live!
  20. Hastie86's avatar
Great deal, thanks. This machine was £60 on Amazon recently without pods. For £20 you are getting 200 pods which works out at 10p a pod. 20 of these are decaf, but another 20 are the xxl pods
  21. buddn07's avatar
Mine's arrived, and I love it. Great coffee (I'm not a coffee snob, but drink a lot and like the taste here).

    Cheers OP!

After years of bean to cup machines I've just bought one of these. Feels like a step back, but sick of cleaning up coffee grounds and fighting fruit flies!!
  23. sutty001's avatar
Love the Lor pods, just as good as the originals in my opinion.
  24. Lee196's avatar
Does anyone know if this can make larger coffees or is it just best for espressos? And would a normal size mug fit on the stand?
    sedwards77's avatar
Yes, you can use this for Lungo's which are larger - 2 lungo pods will fill a mug (this is what I tend to do), or you can use one XXL L'or Lungo pod. The machine fits mugs easily on the stand as well.
  25. Matt_Bailey22's avatar
Why is the milk frother £60 any idea seems a bit of a joke
    Nicolidus's avatar
Pretty much standard price, I think it heats and froths. L’Or do a machine with it built in as well, but I got the one from the OP a while ago knowing I’m too lazy to clean it.
  26. Amz1111111's avatar
    Nespresso citiz or this?
  27. MadeDixonsCry's avatar
I wouldnt bother with illy. I called them last year about something and they kept referring to espresso as "expresso".
  28. GDB2222's avatar
Top Cash Back is 14%? This is showing as £7 pending. Even allowing for VAT that's a lot less than 14%, but it's not too bad. (edited)
  29. Chiptivo's avatar
I'm getting a little bored of Nespresso marketing and also a little bored with machines leaking and frustrating support.

Been a massive fan for about 10 years, but will go back to espresso with this machine to try it..

I'm finding the Vertuo drinks a lot weaker than previously as well.. But maybe my taste buds getting old...

Thanks for the deal also the TCB helps.
  30. dparv's avatar
Looks a good deal, but we only drink black coffee and it comes with a selection of pods 😔
    Chiptivo's avatar
    Which are all black coffee.
  31. Heetz55's avatar
Hi. A good deal I'm sure. I prefer a bean to cup coffee machine. De Longhi Magnigica Esam is a good mid range machine.
  32. roscoe2000's avatar
Bought the machine. Love it (first coffee machine and can't drink instant now!)

In terms of recycling the pods, can you pick a recycle bag up from Starbucks (for example) and drop them back off there? I was reading something about it and wondered if anyone else had done it.
