Get Unlimited mins, Unlimited SMS plus 5GB of data every month for 12 months for a one-off charge of £45. Existing customers will have this bundle added to their account, new customers will be sent a new SIM to their delivery address.
Does not include EU Roaming.

Like a traditional SIM card, an eSIM stores the data your device needs to use the network. ‘eSIM’ simply means an embedded SIM, but unlike a physical SIM card, an eSIM is already built into your device. It also allows you to have multiple lines on a device, that you can switch between.

The RWG Mobile eSIMs run on the Three network and allows VoLTE and WiFi calling. Our eSIMs are available on Pay Monthly plans over £5 only and some of our Buy & Forget range.

Not voting either way , but they have near zero customer service , never ever answer phone, emails take days to respond, seems like a small one man band

Probably the worst mvno out there. Don't believe the hype about these being on the EE network. Had people calling me 20-30 times before the RWG lottery call system put people through. Getting responses from the CS or even trying to ring them is a task in itself
  3. GenuWhine's avatar
RWG are total garbage, I pay monthly and almost 90% of the time no text messages arrive and calls don't work... I contacted them and they don't even respond. Now in dispute with them to cancel contract

Had lifetime sim, stopped working after about a month lol
    Avoid personally

Mine still works too, it stopped working for me about two years ago, read somewhere that you need to use the SIM, a call or text within three months for it to be kept active.

I sent an email and they reactivated my SIM.

    Hope that helps. (edited)

Doesn't have to be an esim you can choose a regular SIM.

@ Mr.Plow according to the RWG Mailshot, the new RWG regular sims that work on the Three network are only available on the new Unlimited Plan:
    mailchi.mp/f7b…c3d

There is no guarantee that this eSIM deal is available on a regular SIM, which is why I have stressed eSIM.

i had a 12 month sim that stopped working. Turns out i needed to make a call or text at least once every 90 days or it will go into a suspended state and you need to email them to reactivate.

I have the 2 year sim and its still working without any issue, contacting support is very fast responses as well. (edited)

Not sure if it is a cynical comment or you actually had a good experience. Has been really bad experience communicating with them

That's disappointing, did you receive a refund?

    Reminds me of Ovivo
Feels like A mobile service Ponzi scheme. Hope I'm wrong.
Mind you, one of our family SIM is on RWG deal from 5y back. Still works.
    Ferris's avatar
Neither this nor Ovivo were anything like a Ponzi scheme.

I've been on RWG for 4 years without an issue and without paying a penny.

Been using them for about 7 months now, had no issues, signal is good, data speeds are fast for my area, customer service email reply within a day or two, thumbs up from me. Worth trying an EE/Now sim to see how good the signal is in your area, or you could just try this and refund within the 14 day cooling off period if it isn't good enough.

Have they moved from EE then?
    hecatae's avatar

Reading over on ISPreview forums the esim is activating as Gamma.
They may have moved, or they had issues with EE, who knows.

Have the 2 year mobile data sim. Mobile data doesn't work

Mine worked, until I went well over last month. Hasn't reset today

Is there any rolling contract for £2-3 per month mainly for incoming calls (as a back up phone). Only RWG has one but after reading the reviews need to look for alternative.
    KodaBear's avatar
Spusu (EE) Have a £2.90 Offer with 1GB Data and unlimited mins and texts. Go via MSE.

Lebara (Vodafone) have a £3.95 offer, at £1.58 for the first 3 months if you go via Uswitch. 200 Mins, unlimited texts, 1GB Data.

If it's mostly for incoming calls though, you might be better off on a cheap pay as you go account? O2 Classic is 3p a minute, 2p a text, 1p a megabyte. Credit doesn't expire. Account remains active if you make a chargeable call at least once every 180 Days.

I have this deal working fine. No issues, what so ever had the 20-pound deal prior to this no issues what so ever.

I did use RWG 12 months sim too. Then the 12 months expired so I placed order for 5GB for £4. When placing order I put my old number to add this to the sim I had in my phone. Guess what, the order sat as Order Received for 3 days and they sent me a new sim with a new number!
Contacted RWG Custimer Services since but so far (4th day of email trail) they cannot even tell me how to check my remaining data allowance where the call to the short number that used to work with my other RWG number gives me error message instead of the information I need. The RWG CS guy in the email alluded that the information about data allowance would come through in an email, which you know is not what I asked and I admit was a shock for me to hear they do not make sense!
My advice is only use them if you need data only service as your third sim and you get around places where both EE and Three deliver strong signal. Why I even mention Three, I chose EE during the checkout and I can see (speed test tells me this ) that the sim is using Three network ...
Which explains why I get 3 to 4 mbits speeds only.... Lucky for me I only ordered this sim as data sim on rare ocassions.
Not having an app or viable way to check how much data is left leaves me wondering if I will be ditching the RWG next month.
Trust pilot has plenty stories about how people who took their data sims for data allowance in EU got shafted by them scaling down the data allowance without telling, and you read on RWG website nor eir less this "we had to change the allowance as due to increase in operator charges these are not viable for us anymore "!
Imagine someone taking out and paying upfront for their 12 months Sim with 100GB or 200GB to use abroad, only a month later they find out that they cannot use data as the new limit is a mere 15GB...

I have their sim in my alarm system for cellular back up and it’s works well

Avoid this scam company, they stopped service and don’t wanna refund.

RWG are running a promotion where you can get 20% off by using code JUNE20.

No idea what it covers, probably worth a new deal thread if someone wants to sit and work out what it covers?
    alan_jones60's avatar
It applys to a add on bundle for a month .
I know cause iv just added the £5 add on bundle for £4.
I imagine it applys to the others as well

I almost bought this, but the reviews.. I ended up with Lebara. Very happy with my choice and it's pretty much the same price
    Rose_'s avatar
In the same boat, don’t want the risk. Can you share link for Lebara please? One-off purchase for a year would be ideal. (edited)

I'd advise everyone not to make my mistake! I can't make/receive a call and just waiting for ever to get this sorted!!!
  20. boabo's avatar
    nope
  21. itswolfy's avatar
does it limit the data usage so you don't get charged more?

and can you dial premium numbers or does it stop that?

i like the idea of this for spare phone.. just want to make sure it wont run up another bill.

    thanks

Like others - best to avoid!

Got 2 year sim for daughter. It's running off EE and after a month or so the data stopped.
  23. joyf4536's avatar
Have the £5 monthly sim for EU roaming without restrictions (Time limits) works for me so far.
  24. vkalia's avatar
I’ve used this 1 year plan, it’s great but they decided to stop the plan a month early so had to message them to get that one month added. It worked great while they were using EE but will never touch it if the network provider is three.
  25. jonagon's avatar
When does the data limit reset on these?

I found myself exploring a part of town with no data this morning, after having used about double my allocated 1GB by the 25th of last month.
    yacoboy's avatar
They reset at the beginning of the month

I have a lifetime SIM as a backup which kinda works I guess, but sometimes I won't receive texts (OTPs) and I have to reboot the phone for it to work. I wouldn't use them for your main number/SIM
  28. M172008's avatar
Better to take 6 months Lebara and 6 months Lyca offers with 15 GB data.. total cost will be £24. Both run offers whole year.
    rwc17's avatar
Can you then cancel before the price increases after 6 months and take up another offer?
  29. humdan424's avatar
I never seen sim that's run on 4 different network. It's strange :/
    KodaBear's avatar
It's not that unusual. Anywhere SIM and Anywhere eSIM are another example of this. There's a few others too.

It's a good option for when you need signal in as many places as possible. They make roaming arrangements with all the networks to allow you free access to them all.
  30. Chiptivo's avatar
Worst Company I've had to deal with recently.
    Avoid like the plague.
Near impossible to contact, difficult to get a working SIM.

Horrendous to get a refund from.

Could never recommend, just seeing a deal on here for them scares me!
    sdduk's avatar
They are ok if you don't need to contact custom service which is terrible and don't answer most of the time.
I have been with them since the beginning with a life time sim which i got free and i still get the free allowance every month but only once had to contact them i did get an answer but about 2 weeks later.
looking at most reviews they are saying terrible things about there custom service which you would think they would improve with all the complaints.
  31. rapid111111's avatar
Do that with any network. Same thing. (edited)

I have been on the unlimited call and text and 2gb data for £3.50 per month since last September. no issues at all! (edited)
  33. CyptoHippy's avatar
I bought all my kids a 2 year sim around 4-5 months ago its been work great no issues I think it was a fab deal at the time as well.
  34. Wii89's avatar
The all 4 network roaming sim that rgw uses is from tele2.se
  35. PeteForsteryF0's avatar
Like others I had a sim that stopped working. Initially just the internet connection, which they fixed, then about a month later the sim stopped working totally. Support were slow and unhelpful.
