UNSTOPPABLY IMMERSIVE: Quantum Dot Display Technology enables a slim panel design and delivers a superior colour performance with a higher peak luminance and greater colour gamut range vs WOLED (White OLED). The monitor features an extensive cinema-grade colour coverage of DCI-P3 99.3% across a wide viewing angle, and colours are accurate out of the box with a factory calibration of Delta E less than 2.

Expect incredibly realistic visuals for gameplay that draws you in deeper thanks to 1000 nits peak brightness, infinite contrast ratio and VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certification.

LAG-FREE GAMEPLAY: AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro Technology and VESA® AdaptiveSync Display certification lets you experience ultra-low latency gameplay for tear-free gaming every time, and offers support for HDR-capable games.

Expect smooth gameplay and view fast-moving graphics with incredible clarity for quicker in-game reactions thanks to an industry-fastest 0.1 ms GtG (Gray to Gray) response time and up to 165 Hz (native) high refresh rate.

INNOVATIVE, ICONIC DESIGN: The unique Legend 2.0 Premium design is the perfect blend of stunning form and enhanced functionality. In addition to its sleek QD-OLED curved 1800R panel, the AW3423DWF monitor features improved cable management, 360° ventilation for better heat dissipation and a new centralised On-Screen Display (OSD) joystick to make adjusting your settings easier. Customizable AlienFX lighting on the logo and screen size number on the back of the monitor enhances gaming ambiance.

FOR CRITICAL CREATING: For content creators and game developers who require precise colour-critical work, the new Creator Mode feature was designed for you. This OSD menu option allows you the flexibility to choose between the native (DCI-P3) and the sRGB colour space, depending on your work needs, and the ability to adjust the gamma settings.

The Picture-In-Picture (PIP) and Picture-By-Picture (PBP) feature lets you view two PC sources simultaneously for next-level multi-tasking.

QUALITY + COMFORT: The Alienware 34 Curved QD-OLED Gaming Monitor is engineered to avoid burn-in caused by items appearing onscreen for long periods of time. Additionally, you'll receive a 3-year service coverage for further quality assurance. And with ComfortView Plus, you can game longer, thanks to an always on, built-in low-blue light screen technology that reduces blue light emissions without impacting colour accuracy.

OPTIMISE YOUR GAMEPLAY: A revamped OSD layout with centralised joystick allows for easy navigation of the monitor’s settings and features.
Among these features is the all-new AlienVision—four custom hardware-based overlays designed to enhance your visual experience in real-time based on actual gameplay.

Night Vision: Helps increase visibility by improving both clarity and contrast during dark scenes in games.

Clear Vision: Enhances sharpness and clarity by removing obstructive elements like smoke, haze or mist.

Chroma Vision: Applies a heatmap to your game based on a thermal palette.

Crosshair: Displays a crosshair that assists the in-game aiming by being "always visible", making it easier to hit your target every time.

I bought this similar price and sent it back. Foolishly thought I could work and game using it. Big mistake PPI awful - text is dreadful. Hence why they call this a gaming monitor! Just in case anyone else is going to make the unlikely mistake I did. Otherwise it’s very cool
    Minstadave's avatar
PPI isn't the issue. It's the subpixel arrangement that makes text look odd. I don't notice it at all after using bettercleartype.

See if there is a lack of stock then that is fine however not saying on the selling page there will be stock delays in amateur to say the least (edited)

I have this. Mines now faulty. Told me out of stock and gotta wait for stock to get replacement. 😞

51325707-4Xf0K.jpgthank you, I've got it for 658.47 due to cashback as well

Anyone with this suffered any burn in ? I really want an WOLED as they are lese likely to have the issue but they simply do not do this size or price
    warfish's avatar
No burn in on mine, and I often leave it on desktop, had it since March (edited)
  6. mreriksen's avatar
Tempted, but I am put off by the comments regarding text issues. I will be using it for working from home 3 days a week and gaming in the evenings.

Is sub pixel layout really that noticeable?
    jonathan_phang's avatar
Of course its all subjective and depends on how sensitive you are, and what you are used to, but I bought the non F version on a similar deal last year and use it for 3 days at home as well as gaming, so very similar use cases.

Work wise, I'm in IT, so lots of emails and remoting onto servers etc and thats been fine for me. Gaming wise, its fantastic IMO, esp with Windows 11 and its HDR/Auto HDR. Text on the personal stuff I use it for, like YT comments, socials, reddit etc have been fine for me.

I think the issue has been overblown, but the monitor has been great for me.

Jumped straight on this, was waiting for a good discount on this monitor. Thanks for sharing!

I have one of these, REMEMBER to check for micro scratches/damage on the screen, it's very common and due to poor screen protection in the packaging! Mine was fine luckily. Googling will show you what to look out for. It's a lovely screen though.

For this reason I ended up getting the samsung g8 oled when it was cheap. It comes with a peelable screen protector and the screen was flawless. Overall the G8 is sleeker and has better features such as bluetooth, hdmi 2.1 (120hz + VRR), and built-in speakers.

Bought this a few months back. Love it. I use it solely for gaming as too scared of burn-in! Not had any issues with it and the quality is spot on
    jonathan_phang's avatar
I have been using the non-F version for work as well as gaming, and I put on dark mode in OS, outlook and notepad++ etc and been doing that for a year and no burn in yet, and I pretty much always have a task bar there when Im WFH.

Anyone who bought this had theirs shipped today? Mine got to In Production and then not changed all day. Expected dispatch was today for delivery tomorrow. Not gonna happen now

Looks like I'm too late on the codes... 5% not working and 10% via Health Service Discounts seems to have expired. Ready to bite the bullet on this <£700. Any generous souls who have a code and would be willing to message me i'd be very grateful. Anyone think this will go lower still?

Ordered, thanks OP. 1440p vs 4K has been a tricky decision but I'm a sucker for OLED and I can't really justify upgrading 3080 --> 4090 for those higher 4K frames. I'm sure this will seem like a big upgrade in itself as I've been on 1080p IPS for the last 10 years lol.

Nearly bought this yesterday, good thing I waited!
    Azuremars's avatar
I honestly think high frame 1440p is a better experience than 4k. I have a system well capable of 4k and just bought this monitor
  13. jetskichimp's avatar
Ta, being thinking about this, saw the 20% off and nearly purchased then used the extra 5% coupon.

That is my 60th present sorted from the wife - a few months early but what the heck.

    Enjoy!
  14. Orville's avatar
I have been using this monitor for the past 6-months and cannot fault it. Image quality and gaming performance are superb, and text quality looks good to my eyes.

Would I swap it for anything else within a similar price range right now? Nope.
  15. KS5150's avatar
I bought this last time it was on offer, great monitor for gaming been playing Diablo 4 and Starfield on it. I don't use it for work but no issues with web browsing.
  16. Britpix's avatar
I've nearly bought this monitor a few times and kept bailing out due to the need for some web browsing. After seeing the ridiculous price of alternative options like the AG344UXM I might finally just go for it. (edited)
  17. qal1h's avatar
I've had this for a good few months now. Gaming is incredible, the contrast is amazing.

I also have zero issues with normal desktop use! No text issues on both PC and Mac.
  18. Tonk3h's avatar
Been using the non 'F' version for about a year now and I absolutely love it. Use it for work (visual/graphics work), leisure, gaming, chilling, movies. It's amazing at all. Never thought i'd care much for OLED in games but now i recommend it frequently. (edited)

Any issues with this with photo editing in your experience? Currently using a asus mg279q 27" wqhd ips.

Thank you so much OP, bought using my Health Service Discount Been on the lookout for this monitor to hit a biting point for me and this is it. Will be using for work and gaming, can't wait!
  20. mreriksen's avatar
Decided to pull the trigger, £665 sounds like a great price and cashback is a nice bonus.
    Alex_H's avatar
Unfortunately I don't think cashback will track. I got a warning mine would not because of the voucher code I used.
  21. czuwbacca's avatar
I’ve pulled the trigger tonight so I am in cold sweats for spending this much on a monitor when you can get a 75inch 4k tv for this price. I’ll take some paracetamol for tonight and ask the missus to tuck me in. If the LG 38GN950 drops miraculously to £700 this year then I will consider selling the AW just so I don’t have to live with paranoia and anxiety due to burn in issues.
  22. Rick_G's avatar
Monitor's a beast... Got mine yesterday, although UPS didn't show until 8.30pm and I was pretty gutted by then thinking it wasn't coming...Absolutely stunning! Ran through the Windows 11 HDR calibration tool and it's looking very good so far. Very pleased.

Played a bit of BG3 and it's insane, the colour and difference HDR makes to the feel, compared to my not so old 27" Dell 155hz TN panel. Can't wait get into CP2077 2.0 now.

I use my PS5 on a LG 55 B9 OLED as well, and I still found that visually it was a far bigger upgrade/difference than I expected. I think sitting so close to a monitor helps a lot for immersion anyway, and the added visual flare of this monitor + ultrawide just amplifies that to another level.
    meer-cha's avatar
You'll be completely immersed in CP2077v2 I'm replaying it for the first time since launch and I'm blown away
  23. McLeod95's avatar
Wonder what the likelihood is of this dropping further over Black Friday?
    CurvedSlightly's avatar
Hold your nerve, they're just trying to make you bite now!
  24. Banshee22's avatar
I have this monitor since launch.
it’s amazing and I had many high rated monitors before.
easily the best gaming monitor and this price is a bargain for what you get.

bear in mind it’s fantastic for gaming but not great if you want it for work since the text rendering in QD-OLED doesn’t look sharp,so not great for reading.
  25. CurvedSlightly's avatar
Great monitor, for gaming primarily but still OK for interwebz and work, my only issue was DP port 1 had some kind of weird pixeling flicker, thought it was the GPU or the cable switched to DP2 and it's fine, so no idea what that is, didn't want to return as may get a worse quality replacement.
  26. ooogemaflip's avatar
Hoping to find a student who will sort me a code hahaha think I will likely bite tomorrow either way

I was originally gunning for this monitor over Black Friday but I've since decided to aim higher and wait for a Samsung OLED G9 because I want to replace my double monitor setup with one big ultrawide and a 34" just isn't big enough! That and these Alienware models seem to suffer burn-in quite easily compared to others I've seen around, purely anecdotal though.

It's a cracking deal for anyone who wants to get one of these monitors though, voted hot!
    meer-cha's avatar
What's your £ bite point for the G9? Reckon it'll get under 700?

Bought this just now. Using Topcashback.co.uk, 10% off student discount and my Amex cashback this come to just under £600 (edited)
    Teebeee's avatar
How did you get that percentage? I can see it's only 4% on monitors :/
  31. med.trabelsi's avatar
HDMI 2.0, no thanks, but thanks!
    KRIS.DEE's avatar
Why do you need HDMI 2.1 in this monitor???
  32. DemonSurfer's avatar
Got one last time it was on offer.. forget how much it was now.. games look better to me on this compared to my 65" C2 but maybe because i sit closer? or maybe cos i'm using a 4070 compared to PS5 and XBOX on the TV?
    LaurenceGough's avatar
It's because of the quantum dots giving better colours and perhaps contrast. A few reviews said this too.
  33. DemonSurfer's avatar
BTW anyone have a good guide for the best picture settings? The one on youtube is before the firmware update..
    thanks
    LaurenceGough's avatar
It's perfect out the box. I like the 1000 nits HDR mode better. Turn on hdr in windows and up the Nvidia or AMD, or intel colour vibrancy.
  34. czuwbacca's avatar
Can’t decide between this or LG 38GN950. Would be for gaming and photo editing. Not sure if the price of LG will come anywhere near to the price of AW this year? (edited)
    mintyhall's avatar
Exactly my buying requirements, gaming + photo editing. Trying to work out if it's a good option for both.
  35. Joseff's avatar
Insanely good monitor, looks incredible with top contrast/ vivid colours that make gaming that much more enjoyable. I don't work on my pc, but I've had zero issues with text while browsing the web/ making documents on word etc.

Bought for a similar price a few months ago, worth every penny
  36. ZeroTheGhostDog's avatar
Had mine for months, love it

Make sure to update to latest firmware (unless it comes shipped with it), as it fixed the HDR.
  37. krakpot's avatar

    No

Has this got standard VESA mounting for a regular desk arm, it's not obvious from the website.

    Cheers.

Edit: Found the answer, yes it has standard 100 x 100 VESA mount. (edited)
