Top post OP. Fantastic price for this level of compute. I’m still holding out for the 50xx series as running a 3080Ti or I’d have bitten with this. Love the solid build quality of ASUS.

sorted by- AuthorYes q4 I believe. That should nicely discount the 40 series.
- It was 94.99 a couple of weeks agoall orders were cancelled
- Nice find, based on opinions here would be bit skeptical if Asus actually pays this out but 875 for this card would be really decent.
- Rumours of 50 series arriving by Q3/4 due to poor sales so I wouldn’t be buying one of these right now.I was looking for a comment like yours, because I was really close to pulling the trigger. Really close.
- I think proart is optimised for content creators but do you think this card is equally good for gamersThat's just marketing the performance of the card makes no difference to the gaming ones, other than having another HDMI port on the Proart
- This card (model) has been available at this price since they came in to stock after launch, still a good price. I built an entire Pro Art theme'd build for someone hence the requirement. The pro art aesthetic does look tidy
- I still cant believe Nvidia has successfully managed to sell consumers a $1000 upper midrange GPU and people are thanking them for it. smh
I cannot stress enough that 4080/4080S are *not* high end GPU's. These are sub 400mm² GPU's with a 256-bit bus. They should have been like $700 max for fully enabled AD103, and ideally only like $500-550 for regular 4080 by this point in time.
Nvidia have won and unless AMD makes a miracle comeback and prices aggressively, GPU pricing is basically forever ruined now. (edited)Yeah I also cannot believe apple manages to sell almost same phone each year to their customers for 1k but that's the world we live in. You can be upset and only buy low tier GPUs I guess. (edited) - I love Asus cards, they're my favourite after the founders.overpriced and usually terrible cooling unless you buy the one that's usually £300 more expensive than competition
- Congratulations on your 1st deal
- There's a Ferrari on sale for 30'000 below RRP, any takers.Send the details can take a look 👀
- £300 for 20fps gain vs a 4070Super is a hard sell. (edited)
- Well in less than a year we will have 50xxx RTX series, we could run all games if devs optimised them
- This is a really nice card and an excellent deal at that. I recently bought this for my SFF Terra build and it looks amazing. Can’t comment on temps/noise yet as haven’t played anything, only managed to run a Cinebench test and it barely made a sound after 10mins of workout.
- Hey thanks for taking the time to post and share your first deal with the community!
- Bought this one last month. Solid card, except it won't support 3x4K monitors @ 144hz in Linux, so I had to reduce the refresh rate to 95Hz. Guess that's a fundamental issue with all nVidia cards. Works fine on Windows.
- Any1 seen any reviews? What about noise levels under workload? It's basically the TUF card, with a different design aesthetic.
- I thought pro art type stuff was Quadro not Geforce :/
- AuthorIf anyone can find a cheaper 4080 super let me know! I’m after one.I can only find a gainward phoenix 4080 (not super but it's same card) for 930 on Amazon.
- I don't like it but I don't hate it. Hmm I guess I am neutral. Mainly I hate AMD and Nvidia and the stupid AI "dotcom" boom bubble we're in currently that is screwing up CEO brains.Well, it's being pushed down your throat now, you can't just have a 'gaming' card, it has to have varied use cases and it just happens that they shoved AI in there to push the 'professional use' of this. I'm still stuck on 2070super and looking at the prices, not in a hurry to upgrade
- Saw it on scan though decided not to post as I don't think many people here will like this :D. heat from me as this is the most sexy 4080 and price is ok.AuthorDon’t know why it would be so emotive! People need to get out more!
- Nice found for your first deal. It's a great deal. Hotted.
- The Founders Edition is currently in stock at Nvidia so I picked up one earlier for £959 (edited)AuthorIsn’t the cooling not as good on the founders edition cards?
- I bought this a week ago from scan, no discount or cashback for meAuthorI wouldn’t have known had it not been for this site! HDUK for the win!
What date did you buy? Valid from 9th April. (edited) - Bought a palit jetstream other day for 959 so £10 cheaper, but gutted about the cashback lol. Can't fault the card though, won't go over 65.c
- Scan should be banned off this forum after their recent spate of deliberate misprices
- Seems delivery isn’t free ?
