I've got this on cd but went for the vinyl after reading this review "Sonically, to hear it on vinyl for the first time is a revelation. There is just so such more detail on this album than I’ve ever heard before, and I’ve been listening to it for 25 years. It’s like a completely new album. If you like Amplified Heart and have only ever heard it in digital form you will be blown away by the sound on vinyl. There is a real channel separation and detail so clear you can virtually hear the movement of fingers plucking strings and hands shaking tambourines." Works for me.

Product description Amplified Heart was Everything But The Girl's million-selling and critically acclaimed seventh studio album and now appears for the first time on vinyl in a deluxe 25th Anniversary Edition mastered at half-speed for optimum audio fidelity by Miles Showell at London's Abbey Road Studios.

The record - released in early 1994 by UK alt-pop duo Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt - contains the original version of what was to become the band's biggest hit, Missing. If Todd Terry's famous house remix took that song onto the world's dance floors and upper reaches of the global pop charts in 1995 (#2 on US Billboard Hot 100, #1 on US Billboard Hot 100 Airplay, #3 on the UK Top 40, and #1 in Canada, Germany and Italy), the original version also remains a timeless classic, now in heavy demand on modern streaming services, and one that perhaps better reflects the enduring appeal of the album's modern-retro hybrid of ardent folk-soul and scratchy electronica.

Tune. One of the very best of the 90's. Always thought that both of them were in need of a bloody good meal, though. (edited)

I think the bloke had some stomach issues and needed something removed if I remember rightly? Not sure what her excuse was though!

Such a classic album, I have an old pressing but well worth the money if you were looking for this.

I still have my Missing single on CD. It's nearer 30 years old than 25 now.

Interesting reviews on Discogs ranging from fantastic pristine pressing to absolutely filthy. Consistency is not the Vinyl industry's strong point. Ironically the best pressing that I've had in ages was my £3.99 double vinyl 180gm post the other day PBR Streetgang Late Night Party Line Vinyl (Youtube link in details) | hotukdeals absolutely flawless. Shows it can be done.
