    It wouldn't be the brand that worries me, it's the small time Chinese seller. The problem with Chinese goods is for every genuine factory they have a couple of small outfits churning out fakes.

    Maybe it was faulty?
    Who was the seller, where they legit?

    Rather than some random bloke in Germany you should take more notice of Aamazon reviews of the many other reviews on YT/various websites that mention fanxiang being good value for money.

    There was another German 'reviewer' that claimed this drive was fake after testing it.
    Apparently it was fake because it only reached 3500MB/s.
    He tested it in a gen3 slot...


    The problem with Chinese goods is for every genuine factory they have a couple of small outfits churning out fakes.

    Why are they going to bother faking fanxiang drives when they have so many other more expensive and popular brands to fake just as easily?
    That's like someone faking Primark clothing instead of Ralph Lauren!

    The 980 Pro is available for that price, but I’ve not seen the 990 Pro as cheap.
