sorted byMedia platforms such as Youtube are full of software/web develpment influencers who will describe the steps you need to be successful and make it look so easy. However on closer inspection you will see that have most of these influencers are young and have some form of a degree even it's not computing related.
I have done enough of these courses to realise that this so called skills shortage is overhyped. They pump you up by telling you there will be so many millions of job openings in fields like Cybersecurity but unless you are young and have been to university it's very difficult. I would also question if these millions of job vacancies will actually happen or are these figures just based on some projections spewed out by some number crunching machine with bad/biased data input.
Not voted either way but how do we know this is not yet another course on the road to nowhere ?
CyberSecurity is the new Bitcoin and everyone is jumping on the bandwagon thinking it's the fast easy way to a lucrative salary. There's even some clown called Boyd Clewis on Youtube who reckons he can teach you how to make over $240, 000 a year if you take his course. This joker is the Andrew Tate of CyberSecurity courses.
Reminds of the gold rush scenario where there was more money made from selling shovels than gold prospectors made from mining gold. (edited)
