The one time I went to Sky Backstage in the O2 it was very crowded, with nothing much special there worth visiting - felt like an excuse to cram as many as possible into an area with a bar. Wonder how the Leeds one is

I think the private entrance and the queue jump would be the main appeal to me

It only starts end of April which is a shame as our tickets are for a concert earlier in April x

Don't really see what the deal is here (No free drinks or food like an airport lounge)? Call me old fashioned, but I would rather drink and spend my money in a nice local pub/bar then get to a venue early and spend £10-15 on a flat Carlsberg or Somersby in a "private bar" before a gig. (edited)

Exciting news - with Sky Backstage shutting at the O2, been wondering if a new Sky VIP lounge would materialise in London. Looks like it wiill be opening at the Ovo Arena Wembley! Sky have signed a deal with ASM Global to initially open the one in Leeds and this Wembley one. Interestingly, ASM also operate the AO Arena Manchester, Ovo Hydro Glasgow, Bonus Arena Hull, Sage Arena Gateshead, and Utilita Arena Newcastle - potential sites for future Sky VIP lounges? Seeing as Glasgow is announced already it is probably the Hydro! (edited)
