Would someone be kind enough to explain the 29er thing to me, I know its the size of the wheel but what benefits / drawbacks does this offer compared to a normal sized bike?

29" wheels roll really well over bumps. I would happily have a 29er with no suspension at all.

Smaller 27.5/650 wheels however are faster up hills and more manoeuvrable/agile.

Given the choice 29er every time for me. But if you're buying a small frame then smaller wheels may suit better.

Also FYI 700c and 29" wheels are the same size but usually different widths to accommodate wider MTB tyres. (edited)

Not found many legitimate reviews for this, anyone any experience? Looking at a small for my ten year old.

My only experience is seeing a teen ride one at the park and wanting one They look decent in the flesh. I love the frame and colour.

The seller is decent and also pay with credit card so you're doubly covered if you have any issues. Remember bikes need maintenance, I see lots of people complaining their bike does work after a year as the gears are bad and it's just something simple like needing a new gear cable (regular maintenance).

I am sure your 10 YO will love it, it's 100x better than the Raleigh Mustang I had in the early 90s and I properly loved that.
