    Giant are a good brand, but this seems very low specced compared to a Vitus Nucleus which drops to this price every now and again. The vitus is a 1x and has hydraulic brakes. It also has the XCR suspension which is a bit better (well it costs more) than the XCE on the Giant.

    If you can wait i would keep an eye on that model as it has been on sale a few times.

    I’ve still got my Giant Talon (2010) from new. Upgraded most parts now due to wear & tear , but the frame is as tough as old boots and has withstood some heavy abuse and many miles on the clock. I’m a 16 stone stocky lump and can confidently recommend Giant. (edited)
