Is this a new network? Never heard of them.

If you’re being serious, they’ve been going for over 20 years now. They started off as a small network targeting multi ethnic communities to offer cheap rates for them to call families back home in other countries. Over time they built a larger customer base and started to diversify and offer cheap bundles specifically for UK only use. Over the years they’ve become much more aggressive with advertising and sponsorships until today where their very cheap introductory offers have helped get them to a level of recognition on par with that of the supermarket mobile network brands.

As the OP has said above me, they use the Vodafone network to offer to exact same signal but at a lower price. But Lebara handle (most of) their own customer service and billing matters. And if you’re somewhere busy your speeds may be a bit slower than someone with a real Vodafone SIM standing beside you at the same time.

I’m personally not a huge fan of this network, but lots of people here love them and support them. I certainly can’t fault their pricing! They’re well established and not a scam or anything, if you want to try them out.

Ooh look it's included on tcb compare mobile £13 cashback, I see there's 15gb also available for £1.49 if that's any good for someone 52665675-fShSK.jpg

Thanks for post OP, would tcb work if cancelled after 3 months?

I switched to this network with this same deal last week, after being loyal to Three for many years.
    Honestly here are my thoughts

    1. Network signal is great as they use Vodafone
    2. Their app is also very simple and updates data usage in Real Time (Three's app used to take hours to show usage).
    3. Number transfer went very smoothly.

So yeah overall I've had a great experience with them so far.
Plus Roaming in 42 countries (EU, USA and other countries).

Very happy as Three started charging me £2 - £5 a day to use my allowance abroad.

    Prepare to be disappointed.
You get a roaming allowance in some european countries. That's it. Definitely not roaming in the US without paying a steep surcharge.

The international calling countries are for you to call for free FROM the UK. Not to roam over there. You can call the USA for free for example, but can't use your phone for free over there.

I was a very happy Lebara subscriber for over a year after getting fed up with lack of data on Tesco (O2) regardless of signal.

I found Lebara became increasingly poor over the last couple of months just like Tesco did, which will no doubt be due to a prioritising of traffic as the network attracts more and more subscribers.

On the plus side being monthly contracts it’s easy to leave if it doesn’t work out, which I did!

Same here. Gone really poor for the last couple of months. Have been with them for about 4 years and there was no issue! Now thinking of switching

Not had a problem with them personally i got there 99p for 6 months. I won't probably stay though with the proper price. Depends who is cheaper, i just wanted away from sky asap.

After 3 months is it easy to cancel

Yes. Just disable auto renewal in your online account, or use a PAC/STAC Code with your number. Both will stop future payments from beign taken.

You’ve bought the wrong plan and signed a 12 month contract rather than the 30 day rolling 1p offer.

You’re stuck with them for the year unless you pay the penalty to break your contract. If it was me I’d just stick with them.

Can I take my existing number from another network and port it to this sim and continue with this contract?
