DO NOT BUY. Made the mistake of buying them & all were either dead or last between 1 & 3 days. Absymal

I find these cheapish button batteries die before you get round to using them so I tend to just buy brand batteries for the few applications I need them for now but I don't have experience with this particular brand, just other strips of cheap ones I've bought over the years

Yep exactly the same experience for me, I've given up with the cheap ones, they last such a small amount of time that I was constantly changing them and it probably didn't save me much with how many I got through, a decent branded one lasts so much longer.

Has anyone ever used these in a car key... My correct battery (VW manual) is supposed to be 2025 type battery.... (edited)

Never tried but they're a Different thickness and capacity.

"The CR2032 is 3.2mm thick while the CR2025 is 2.5mm thick. Because the CR2032 is 0.7mm thicker than the CR2025, it has a higher capacity (mAh) to deliver current to the load. A standard CR2032 can nominally deliver 225mAh while the average CR2025 can nominally only deliver 160mAh."

    Renata are the best make

Seconded, definitely my choice for important devices, Swiss manufacturer with 10+ year shelf life. They aren't even that dear at £2 ish for a 2032, less if bought in quantity. Can't vouch for the linked ebay seller but Renata brand for sure. Just found them under £1 from specialist battery sellers, who I often find charge fair postage of £1-2 an order (often only a stamp). I'd much rather stock up on 2 or 3 of each size I use in Renata brand from a legit battery retailer, than buy big bulk packs of cheap 👀. (edited)

Trash, bought some and they run out very fast - opening my key is a real nuisance so this is particularly annoying.

Or free delivery to a (hopefully nearby) locker, if you don't have prime! I'm reminding myself of that, kept forgetting and kept being reminded by others on here
    deadnheadless's avatar
Wait! It's still free delivery to a local locker if you don't have prime? Any minimum spend?

Had to use some cr2032s recently for my watch.. went to my stash of cr2032s only to discover they pretty much expired even though they were in date. I see very little reason to buy lots unless you go through them at a rapid rate.

They expire while sat in their packaging! Get good branded ones.
